Steak 'n Shake

We arrived and were seated quickly enough but we asked for crayons and never received any. We had to wipe down the seat of our booth. We also waited for about half an hour before they even took our drink order. By that time we had our whole order ready. They also served customers who got in after us before we had our order taken. They only get 2 stars because the food was good.

Be prepared to wait an hour for your food! Came in on a Sunday afternoon at 1pm. The waiter took our order after about 10 min, and we didn’t receive our order (3 adults) until 2pm. Even then it was brought out in stages. Side salad delivered after the meal. Main chicken salad delivered warm with burned chicken. Both salads had to have salad dressing brought out 10 min later. Saw other elderly patrons sit down at unbussed tables because they couldn’t stand anymore and have to wait for someone to clean off the table. If ever there was a place that needed a visit from corporate this is one of them.

This has become my most frequented restaurant, which is unusual for my tastes. The staff here is great, other than one of the younger waitresses. Food is always cooked perfectly (I order everything well done, which they normally don't do). The tea is delicious, and is an amazing value. The app gives you 10% free rewards, which is great. I go here multiple times per week, and I'm never disappointed.

I wish I could give less than 1 star. Went at around 2am 07/26/18 and it was a horrible experience. The waitress was very nice but took forever to bring us absolutely anything. No manager on staff. Our food sat so long our bread was hard as a rock. Everything else was cold. We sat in an empty restaurant for around 15 minutes before our waitress came to the table. Then another 15 before our first round of drinks arrived. I say first round bc our tea was rotten. There was a couple that showed up with the same exact situation that happened to them. We all got sick the next day. Highly recommend avoiding this place if possible.

The service was extremely slow. We waited over 15 minutes after being seated to be served, while the restaurant was essentially dead. The food took an average amount of time, and they at least got that right. It took over twenty minutes to have someone come to the counter to ring up our receipt, during which we watched several disgusting health code violations take place in the kitchen. The staff obviously is not interested in customer satisfaction.

Some off the best chain store burgers that. The customer service is always great and the place is always clean. The manager is very nice and does what he can do make your visit the best visit there. New customers can get a few dollars off by visiting the app and signing up as a new customer with a new email address. That prices are already nice, but with the discount you same a good amount of money on your visit to Steak 'n Shake. I will definitely keep going back.

Let me start by saying we have four kids so always a larger party, we love steak and shake and their prices for families, and eat at steak and shakes very often. First time at this location, Big Hollow road by Target. Service was kinda lacking, two of our seven meals were incorrect. They did bring us the correct ones, 18 minutes later, and once the kids started eating them they were still bloody and red in middle, they were the thicker prime burgers. Very few fries on the plates, my son's meal had literally fifteen fries, yes we counted. The garlic burgers were cold, didn't even melt the garlic butter sauce on them. The ingredients on all the meals were very skimpy. Again I'll say we love steak and shake k and eat at them regularly. This will be our one and only visit to this location, very unhappy with the food, I'd recommend just driving the couple miles to the better ones by grand prairie or in East Peoria.
