I wish I could give it less than one star. The air conditioning was not working the day we went, but that's not the reason for the poor review. The salsa that was brought to our table was awful. It tasted like it was made with canned tomato sauce, and the consistency confirmed it. We had the guacamole, which was bland and flavorless. After tasting those two things, that we normally love, we decided to pay for our drinks and leave. Our server was nice and efficient, that's about all this place has going for it. Not recommended.

With this restaurant having recently change owners and name, I was anxious to try one of my favorite ethnic foods. Would it be Tex-Mex or genuine Hispanic fare? Having lived in Denver and Dallas, I am familiar with both. My favorite, hands down, is Genuine Hispanic. Casa Amigos falls into the latter. So how did they do? Atmosphere with the bright color murals (beautiful by the way) and 🇲🇽 Mexico decoration was nice. With the tile floors and booths that had seen their better day 'spring-wise" and blasé table tops, there is a 'cold' atmosphere. With a little help, it could be a much warmer and inviting, & yes, cosier place. The wait staff was very nice and reacted well to special requests. The food was hot (temperature) and medium spicy. Now don't get me wrong, if you want fire the menu has those options! Free chips and salsa come as standard, and the price was moderate for the serving sizes. I chose a burrito which came smothered in white cheese sauce... It was exceptional. Only recommendation to make it exceedly so would have been to top it with shredded lettuce and a little diced tomato for color/presentation. Yes, there is a bar for those wondering featuring Mexico favorites. Visit. You'll be glad you did.

The food was excellent and they have a huge menu. There was some difficulty getting our bill correctly, but they were gracious about fixing things, just took a while.

My 6 year old daughter & I stood for 5 minutes while the 2 waiters took care of single large group with no acknowledgement. Literally put our coats back on and left.
