If your ever in Pensacola Florida, Shaggy’s beachfront restaurant is a must try. Awesome service, delicious food. They were kinda of busy my last visit resulting in a small wait time. The service as well as the atmosphere was some of the best I’ve experienced while dining out. The food was so delicious. Definitely worth a visit.
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience tonight; many compliments to our beautiful waitress, Tara! Honestly, couldn't have asked for a more bubbly, cheerful, and positive attitude! We had the fried green tomatoes, and shared the Grilled Captain's Platter. Shaggy's is a dog friendly restaurant, with a Dog Menu, that is served on a Frisbee to keep! So Cool!! Will most definitely be back!!
So much good to share here! Amazing service by Micheyla C. made our dining experience top notch! Her special attention to us and our pup helped us enjoy the food and atmosphere of this great spot. Every bite was delightful from appetizer of fried pickles, shared seafood platter for the main entree to the scrumptious key lime pie to finish off our midday lunch. Pup was treated fresh water and a plate of grilled chicken and steamed rice that was enough for three dogs and he gobbled up his portion with vigor!
The outside patio seating was so nice on such a beautiful day on Pensacola Beach.
It had been awhile since we visited the other locations in Pass Christian and we were not disappointed.

Had a great time here! was my first time and took out of town guests. The Mist Works fans were kicking-really nice.
Food was really good and very fresh-but the seafood nachos just missed the mark - no kick to them. Maybe add some lime crema or something. The crab cases were yummy, the tuna bowl had fresh tasty tuna, but a huge mound of white rice that was way too much for plain white rice. shrimp tacos were fabulous!
You do have to walk up about 20 stairs just know that ahead of time.
I will definitely go back -and the sunset? INSANELY BEAUTIFUL
We had a fantastic meal at Shaggy’s in Pensacola. We had just finished driving for 9 hours and it was a much needed stop with delicious food! Mike did a fantastic job serving us and all his recommendations were spot on! We also loved the photo op outside with the big shark! Looking forward to our next time we are in the area to stop here again!
My daughter and I drove from Destin, to Pensacola today. We had lunch at Shaggy's, and so happy with this choice. I ordered the cheeseburger, and possibly the best I've ever had. My daughter ordered the Coconut Shrimp, and was definitely not disappointed. The food, service, and whole atmosphere was just outstanding!
This was an amazing place the atmosphere the service was superior the portions were huge for the price, and the food was delicious. My husband had the shrimp trio and I had the coconut shrimp best I’ve ever had out of this world they use soy oil also to fry in. The music and atmosphere was fun. The room was colorful and entertaining as well as a beautiful view of the marina. Megan and Casey were awesome and friendly.
We’re tried their grilled shrimp, fried shrimp, French fries, seafood fries, lobster Mac & cheese, and burger. The shrimp (both fried and grilled) had soooo much flavor, definitely the best shrimp we had in Pensacola (compared to flounders/peg leg Pete’s). The seafood fries were delicious and had plenty of seafood. I wasn’t a huge fan of the side lobster Mac, it lacked some flavor. It also didn’t have much lobster. Definitely recommend!!!
OMG! This was our first time here and it was absolutely AMAZING! I had the seafood platter and my husband got one of the burgers. Food was so flavorful and the portions are big! Our waitress was so upbeat and the customer service was top notch! Definitely will be one of our favorite places!
Our service was fantastic, our server Liseth was amazing, the manager Robert was just the sweetest, and every other staff member who passed by, delivered our drinks or our food was just the friendliest. The food was fantastic, highly recommend the seafood fries and the seafood platter! I will definitely be coming back the next time I’m in Pensacola! 10000/10 will recommend!
Nice and cool inside on a hot, hot day. The servers were all nice and friendly. Nikki was my server and she was great! The special of the day was shrimp and spinach quesadillas. Delicious. I couldn't figure out the flavor I was tasting and then realized there were strips of bacon in there. Yummy! The hush puppies were pretty good; nice and crunchy.
Food was great! It's reasonably priced and the location offers a great view. They also have mist machines and fans that help keep you cool outside. Our server today was Morgan and she did a great job!
We absolutely love Shaggy’s Pensacola Beach! Erin is amazing, she walked us through all the local food options, and definitely did not stop taking care of us. Especially our dog! He, along with our daughter, got a complimentary frisbee! I love how they have a dog menu. Thank you for thinking of our 4-legged family member!
This is not the Shaggy's of yore! The food is VASTLY improved - everything we had was excellent, from the LOCAL Royal Reds (so good!) to the tuna poke bowl to the flounder sandwich with the perfectly cooked tots. And Erin was a wonderful server. Can't recommend more highly!
It's always a great spot for a great meal on the water. Their menu has changed some over the past couple of years, so if it has been a while since you came in, expect to see some things gone from the menu and replaced with new options.
The "Miami Vice" drink was very tasty and had a decent amount of alcohol in it.
The stuffed avocado was a great appetizer, the raw tuna fresh and tasty, and the sauce they drizzle over the top is top-notch.
The flounder sandwich was fantastic, cooked perfectly, very flaky, and not dried out. Fries were on par but nothing to write home about.
The fish tacos had great flavor, and the salsa was on point.
We sat outside to enjoy the views of the bay, and our server Erin was great, had a lot of knowledge about the menu, and was very attentive to all the guests in her area.
Prices were on par with the area and food came quick, fresh and hot. Will definitely continue to patron.
First time visiting Shaggy’s. Lots of Google reviews with lots of ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️ made it appealing. Nice view of the bay. The service was very attentive and great. We ordered the pickle chips despite the waitress telling us they are salty. They were very salty. Also had the Mahi Mahi tacos and grilled shrimp. Both entrees were delicious and the Cajun Mary was also very good. The value of the food was okay, but expected for seafood. Shaggy’s is definitely worth the try, just stay away from the pickles if you don’t like a lot of salt.
We stopped here for our time waiting for our flight home, and the service was great! Yummy & fun drinks, good food, and we had the SWEETEST server named Micheyla C! She had such positive and happy vibes, and treated us so well!
Charity was our server and she did an excellent job! She was prompt, friendly, and has great suggestions for menu items to try. We ordered the fried pickles and it was a HUGE portion! They were seasoned well and their homemade ranch was delish. I ordered the Stuffed Avocado as my meal and it was the perfect portion for someone who eats small. The tuna on it melted in my mouth! My wife ordered the Big Kahuna and loved it. The burger was cooked well and the teriyaki sauce combined with the pineapple was perfect. Our daughters got the coconut shrimp and seafood Mac and cheese. Both were very generous portions! If you leave here hungry, it’s your own fault!
