Player's Pizza

I dont usually review places, but man wut a disappointment! Customer service was good, so they get a star. I dont mind paying high prices for quality things but this aint it! It was $4.10 for an extra topping, I ordered artichoke hearts, just look at thw picture. Its maybe one single piece of artichoke ripped in 8 pieces. If i order a topping i at least expect it on every piece of the pizza! You just charged me 4 bucks for like 10 cents woeth of artichoke heart. If you added it togwther it would probably be one of the lil 4th slices that come in a jar. Not acceptable. Besides that, pizza was pretty bland, kids didnt like it much, cheese is really chewy like the cheap grated cheese in a bag you buy at a grocery store. If you are in penn valley/lake wildwood area I suggest you get some northridge pizza, lower price and WAY better quality. Wont be returning.

This restaurant has the worst staff. They quoted two pizzas would take 50 minutes. It took them 1 hour and 20 minutes and they messed up one pizza and had to remake it. They didn’t offer any reimbursements for the food and we had to pay full value. Their gluten free pizza crust tastes like cardboard and overall their food is terrible. We will never eat here again and I will be sharing the word.

we came in for dinner at 6 on a Friday night. The restaurant was dead empty and it took well over an hour and we never got our food. We asked several times how much longer it would be and they just kept telling us it would be soon. We were then told it was an hour an hour wait when we ordered but we were not informed of that when we placed our order. The staff was incredibly rude and just standing around the whole time chit-chatting and doing nothing. We ended up demanding a refund to go someplace else.

The original review is on bottom and initially gave them a great review that they earned but that has changed dramatically.. I can no longer support the review. This business has fallen off. Our last four trips have been really bad. Everything from making the wrong pizzas, taking twice as long as quoted, manager rudeness. We gave them four chances and each time it got worse. We will not be going back. Apparently too many new untrained people. Not sure but there’s no excuse, four times in a row. You’re taking a chance here now.. I prefer consistency. Don’t let this place fool you because it’s tucked away in Penn Valley. The pizza’s and burgers are really good. I don’t drink but looks like they have a good selection of beer. Their service has always been at least really good, if not great. It’s just a pizza place but it’s a really good one. In my opinion better then anything I’ve had in Yuba city, Grass valley/Nevada city for pizza. You won’t be disappointed.
