Since the new management I am impressed with the mom and pops feel of the shop, the time and quality put into the food and the politely excellent service. Chains tend to treat you like cattle when they say they treat you like family. You want family oriented service? This is the spot!
I have been frequenting pontillos pizzerias for over 30 years, and while I have had a couple of sub par experiences I have had far more exemplary experiences. I have had both deliveries as well as many pickups from this location. Today was great as the person working there heated up my slices exactly how I asked while being very courteous, and even starting singing some country music in the back which my gf and I got a kick out of. What was even better though, was the Mark's worker getting food.
Great customer service, great price, and most importantly delicious pizza! We will definitely be ordering again soon!
They use fresh ingredients. Always found the staff to be very polite and helpful and will be willing to share any deals. The quality of the food is on point. Gorgeous pizzas. Never the less, the pizzas are well worth it as they are luxurious. Fair amount of toppings and portion sizes are on point too. Lovely food, great staff. Highly recommended.
They have the best customer service. Every order has been perfectly delivered! Their crust is the best in Rochester. Our favorite pizzas are Italian sausage as well as ham and pineapple. Both are always perfectly cooked, hot and fresh. Love the fresh ingredients much better then Perri’s and Mark’s in Penfield. Keep up the good work!!
I ordered a large pizza and 10 boneless wings the other night and I have to say that these were the best pizza and wings that I have ever had. The pizza was amazing and customer service was even better. I would recommend ordering their Large with 10 wing special. Also very cheap delivery fee. Great value!
Since the new owner took over a little over a year ago, I can't believe the changes. The pizza is so much better!! He has definitely made food changes for the better. Each time I go in, I see new improvements. The new owner is constantly updating and improving the menu and the pizza shop. My favorite is the EP sub! Omg!!!

It has been Ten plus years since ordering at this location. This used to be our “go-to” pizza place - It was never questioned. If it was Friday, we were ordering pizza from Pontillos, Penfield. We started having inconsistencies with ingredients used with many delivery issues and stopped ordering from here. We have since never found our place. We tried Cams, Mark’s Pizzeria, Salvatores, all the local players but never hit the spot that Pontillos used to. Every Friday was “where” are we getting our pizza from tonight.
Fast forward to Friday March 19th, 2021. I decided give our old “spot” another shot as free a ten year hiatus. We wanted to try just a regular cheese pizza and ten medium wings. The staff was super-friendly and pleasant to deal with. Unlike ten years ago. The pizza tasted Great!! The original recipe was back. Not sure if franchise mandates ingredients used, but it became very inconsistent. This time tasted like it had back in the day. The wings were just as killer as they used to be. Not tiny little things, these wings had meat in them. The medium sauce was perfect and wings were perfectly cooked. If the keep up with this consistency; I think we’ve got our Friday night pizza joint back.

Pontillo's was always a go-to while growing up in the Rochester area. Upon graduating, however, I moved out of state and can truly say that signature Pontillo's pie has been missed.
While visiting my folks recently, I was pleasantly surprised to see the the new (for me) Penfield Pontillo's. The team on hand was professional and both pizza and wings were excellent.
Highly recommend and look forward to stopping by during our next visit.
The customer service was amazing, the employees were very polite and made it easy to order. The pizza came out fresh and it was one of the best I’ve had in a while. Definitely looking forward to coming back soon!
I have ordered four times from here. To be honest the last time was not good. However, when I went back in and told him about my experience the gentleman was courteous and apologetic. I received a new sub and mozzarella sticks, no charge And the food is excellent. Perfectly prepared. If you have a bad experience let them know and they will compensate
I grew up in Rochester and have had pizza from pretty much everywhere. I don't know how they do it, but the slices specifically at the Penfield Pontillo's are always top notch. If you're in the mood for a quality NY slice... save yourself the trial and error and just come here for the best
Best Pizza location in upstate New York! I have been coming to this Pontillo's location for a year now and cannot recommend food from here enough! The staff is always friendly and the food is always consistently amazing. They make sure to put the extra effort into making your food the best quality they can deliver!
