We visited Hawaii for the first time and stayed a week. Went to quite a few Poke spots and Poke on da run was definitely the best. Great food and great service. Definitely a must visit if in Hawaii!
My friends and I came to visit Hawaii for the week. Out of all the places so far, this place by far was the best! Not just high quality food but high quality service. The people that work here are amazing! Do yourself a favor and come eat here.
Can't believe we've only just came around to try this spot. Both the bowl with rice and the nachos were so good. Wasn't sure how I'd feel about the nachos, but it honestly was so much better than I thought. The poke was super buttery and fresh - both kinds were awesome although I'm a spicy ahi girl at heart.
Afternoon time for a late lunch wasn't too bad in terms of the line at all and street parking around the shop wasn't terrible either.
Overall pretty good. I had the kamikaze poke which had pretty good flavor, but the quality of the tuna wasn't perfect, it was a bit sinuey, and the onions were slightly harsh. The macaroni salad was slightly unbalanced, but still tasty. Their best seller entree, the braised beef was excellent however. While the braised beef was mostly tender, the sauce carried the dish to another level. If you love beef, I'm sure you will love this dish, just make sure to bring some floss, or your gums will be crying for help within the hour.
Overall good food, quick service, but there are other places nearby with higher quality food in my opinion.
Delicious poke! Huge portions at a reasonable price. I had the spicy ahi nachos. Tasted fresh, and had a lot of awesome flavors. A little more sauce than I like, but I still ate every bite. The people inside were friendly too! I’ll be back!
1/2 Ib of tuna on top of fried wonton chips YES!!!! For $14, this "mini" size is more than enough to share. They pack it with so much tuna I can't imagine how much 1lb would be LMAOOO the tuna was so fresh, but loved the Kamakazi sauce which is this shoyu, oyster, spicy mayo sauce that coated everything. I think our only comment was to have less sauce but hey more sauce then barley any right? The wonton chips were so crispy and every bite had enough tuna on it.
Definitely recommend coming here and I was so excited to try this place for their poke nachos and it was worth!!!
They have other things here as well like poke bowls, plate lunches, etc too! ALSO idk if the one on the truck and the store is the same... so someone please correct me thought I was going to the truck one but still good otherwise НАННА
Heads up, small shop and gets packed real quick during lunch hours! Menu is readable from the order area, any questions of any sort do talk to the staff when ordering! They're super awesome and friendly. There is seating but a minimum as it is a small shop, I can't stress that enough so don't be upset when you arrive and can't sit. Poke nachos are perfect to share with a +1 and mini poke bowls gets you full to the brim :D
Got the ahi katsu and braised beef along with a mini spicy poke nachos. My fave. I called ahead and Thankfully found parking right in front, it has been difficult in the past. Must try! Ps sometimes braised beef runs out

Great poke and even better hot plates.
The Kalua pork, as well as the braised beef are perfection.
The only negative, you won't be able to find anywhere else that measures up.
Cheap, delicious, fresh and authentic.

I can't say enough good things about Poke On Da Run. One of us loves sushi ahi and one not so much. The braised beef was amazing and the mac (think potato salad/ mac&cheese...sounds weird but is "ill take one to go please" worthy!)a must have. Poke Nachos are a huge portion worthy of all the praise reviews we read. The portions are awesome and the staff treated you like regulars whether you are a local or tourist. We will be back while in town so says the better half...

Best POKE ever. Well I'm coming from California and this place was recommended to me from a family member who lives in Hawaii. From what I saw this place is different from the poke shops opening up over southern California where the fish and toppings are set up in an line and your bowl is constructed like as if it was part of an assembly line.
Upon entering the restaurant the owners greeted us and knew the order for the person I was with. After we confirmed our order the owner did the same for the following few customers. I have to say that in it's self was impressive that the owners know their customers this well. I mean it's not uncommon but it's definitely a dying art in the food service industry.
We got our food and sat down. The inside is a tight fit, so maybe not the best place for a birthday party but a group of six or less should be just fine.
The food on the other hand.... Freaking delicious I got the "regular" size and I have to say it was more than enough. Two massive portions of ahi one spicy and one not spicy (I forget already what it was called), and some white rice. Flavors we're well balanced. Just the right amount of onion to give it a little crunch and bitterness, which was offset by this drizzle of some sauce they put on top.
By far the most enjoyable poke I've had and I will be making a few more trips back here before I leave back to California.
Came here because of the buzz, and came away feeling the love. Before I came to the island friends said to get Poke Nachos. I did some research and found out this was apparently one of the best, Came here after stopping at Pearl Harbor. It is a bit of a drive but only 15 minutes or so. It is far off the beaten path in a industrial, business part of town. It looks like a hole in the wall because it is, but the Poke is excellent. The nachos we got were some of the favorite things we ate while in Oahu. The wonton chips give great texture and the fish was flavored perfectly and so fresh. Will come here every time I am in Honolulu. Also, a great stop after going to the Flea Market about 10 min drive.
Huge portions and very fresh Poke. Highly recommend this place for poke lovers. Try the poke nachos.
Another little gem on the island that most folks would just drive by. Clearly a local favorite. Constant traffic coming and going. Only four at a time allowed in the store right now. Got the Manuka to Makai Nachos. Mini is a good size portion. Regular is HUGE. Make sure to ask for some wasabi sauce on it. Excellent poke and really good pulled pork. Loved the won ton chips. The picture of the food doesn't do justice. It got smashed in the box.
I was recommended to get the mini poke bowl because the regular was too large. After eating the bowl I instantly wished I had gotten the regular. Highly recommend the Poke bowl. Spice Ahi is spicy at the perfect level. Will come back again.
We initially were hesitant about the poke nachos but there was no turning back once we tried them. The crispy wonton nachos complement the fresh poke and made for a very delicious meal

Yuuuuummmy! Super crowded and hard to find street parking but completely worth it. Very tasty food!
4/29/2021 Back again! This time for the regular Braised Beef plate, regular Pastele Stew plate, and mini half half poke nachos! The Braised Beef was very tender and on the sweeter side. The Pastele Stew was filled with olives and not an oil slick. I love the thickness of this stew! Mini half half poke nachos was loaded with poke and so delicious as usual! The chips are the right thickness & super crispy. Awesome food, Poke on Da Run! I wish your hours were longer so that more folks could get food when they're finished work.
5/7/2021- We like what we like so today was a regular size half half Poke Nachos for us to share for lunch. It was delicious!
Because of the reviews we only got one order of the poke and that turned out to be a HUGE mistake. The nachos and poke in particular were DELICIOUS. The sauce was delicious and the poke just melts in your mouth. The store itself was a little small but parking was pretty easy to find on the sides of the road.
