The food was good. It's been a while since I last came here. If going during the day, make sure you don't miss the lunch special happy hour

Nice restaurant for family meals. They really downsized their menu, they no longer have any noodle dishes. They should definitely bring them back. Good food; sushi and combination meals. They require masks at all times unless you're actively eating or drinking. They take temperature checks upon seating and require you to wait outside until you're called for your table. I love their green tea ice cream, a must to finish off my meal. They also no longer give origami for children. All staff members are wearing masks. Bathrooms are only one person at a time but people don't read and still come in when someone's inside.....

Definitely don’t visit this place enough. Over our last few visits (maybe 4-5 in the last 6-9 months), I hadn’t stopped to notice that the service we’ve been receiving has been tremendously great! The servers and whole of the support staff have been very very gracious, friendly, and efficient. Add on to this their awesome value for the dollar. Japanese cuisine, in general, isn’t known to be on the inexpensive, or budget end. Gyotaku offers excellent specials (I’m not yet a senior, but you can bet your bottom dollar that I’ll be increasing the frequency of my visits especially when that happens)...their senior and keiki specials are unbeatable. Service, Food Quality, and Price Reasonability all contribute to their being a top choice to visit any time!

Service was friendly and easy going. This restaurant serves Japanese food that is delicious and nicely proportioned. I recommend having the chicken katsu curry. It had a pretty nice spicy kick to it. The desserts were pretty good too.

My sister gave a lunvheon birthday party for her husband, 17 of us attended. The room was pleasant, with lots of space so we could walk around and chat with everyone. The only draw back, was we were given one wait staff for everything. He did a great job, but lacked timing. For he also had another large group of about 15. When you spend almost $800 + tip, you'd expect more service than one person. I have only good things to say about our waiter, but criticize the management for their scheduling of staff when they knew they had reservations for that many people. Overall the waiter made up for the managers poor scheduling, and if that is their practice then the owners of the establishment should rethink their restaurants image.

Glad to be back to dining in at Gyotaku. They're measuring temps and only allow 5 guests to check in at a time, have barriers between parties and all the staff are still masking. Food still excellent. We had the early bird specials, tempura and sashimi, and several rolls (Ninja, Flaming Ahi and Dragon rolls). Everything was great.

The takeout experience was excellent. Even when I arrived slightly early they were accommodating and offered me a drink as I waited. The poke bowl was surprisingly more flavorful than I anticipated. Highly recommend!

Been coming here for at least the past 30 years. It's a bit of nostalgia for me. The atmosphere is always pleasant and the food is always great! I had the tempura teishoku for lunch and for dessert I had the deluxe green tea shaved ice with azuki beans, vanilla ice cream, and snow cap. Sampled a bit from everyone's plate. The pork tonkatsu is thick and tender. I also noted how big the miso butterfish is!! It was probably the size of my hand. Definitely worth the visit if you're in the area.

The food here was delicious and staff were also friendly. We came here for a friends baby shower. They had a nice little private area in the front to accommodate about 50 people.

Gyotaku is one of our favorite places to dine for lunch or dinner or snack for years now. Love the variety of offerings from teishoku to sushi to tonkatsu and nabe to donburi, but our weekly obsession is with their late-night offerings after 8:00 pm until closing. The late night bento for $16.95 comes with six pieces of California roll, three pieces of shrimp tempura and vegetable tempura, and choice of entree (Teriyaki beef, chicken katsu, karaage chicken... and more... misoyaki salmon is $1 more). Wine and other alcohol is 25% off late night pricing too! Friendly, attentive and consistent service makes each visit even more worthwhile. Free parking.
