Review Rice Thai - Patchogue

Ryan Dolan
Ordered take out from Rice Thai this evening. I ordered Thai fried rice with chicken and pan fried chicken dumplings. My experience inside the restaurant was pleasant with no issues. The food itself was very flavorable with good portions. Believe this was my third time trying this restaurant and won't be my last.

Dude! I’ve raved about the best massaman curry from this spot and I could never remember the name until I randomly ordered here and as I’m pulling in I’m like OMG this is the spot with the best food! So I had to write a review. This is by far the BEST massaman curry I have ever had and my fav food is Thai food so I get to try dozens of places recipes. The spicy wings made me physically sick but that’s my fault my stomach can’t hand the fried breading thing. They also have the BEST Thai tea. My belly is so full still and it’s been hours! This will be worth the weight gain, time to take an extra spin class

This is THE best Thai place on the island. Despite the lonely interior, this place is popping with takeouts. We took our pad see ew with beef, pad Thai with chicken, green curry, spicy eggplant, chicken satay, fried calamari, Tom ka soup, mango salad, and pineapple fried rice. Don’t get the chicken satay it’s dry and tough and don’t get any fried food like calamari bc by the time we ate it, it was soggy. The pad see ew was perfect - noodles had buoyancy and was not too salty. The pad Thai was a chefs kiss - amazing sauce to noodle ratio. Soup was so warm and def tasted the umami. Mango salad was a first for me here, and it was life changing. The sweetness of the mango with the acidity and spice of the dressing was near perfection. This place is my go-to for Thai food, I’m sure it will be yours too. Just place your order earlier!

Great Thai in the area. Since I have been living in the Bay area, I have had my fair share of good Thai food. I can say that this place is up to par with the rest of them. The women that helped me were patient and understanding. I placed an order for takeout and it was ready within 10 minutes. I got the Shrimp Pad Thai, Panang curry with chicken and Red curry with chicken. All was delicious, and portions are fair. You can adjust spiciness, but I felt there was no need since everything was great. Also had the Thai iced coffee - so good! With all the Chinese food places around, don't hesitate to try something new. This place won't disappoint.

Really good solid Thai food they make the Prig King in house, freshly breaded homemade fried tofu and they’ll spice you like they mean it. It’s worth the 45 minute drive for me and the service is second to none. Best Thai on the island. HUGE portions. Enjoy

I was so excited to see a new Thai place open in Patchogue since the ones I’ve tried weren’t that great. This place is amazing! Clean, friendly and the food is excellent. I got the Pad See Ew which came with Chinese broccoli. Next time I will ask if they can make it with American broccoli. It was delicious! Good size portion too. My friend got the Pan Woon Sen with chicken. She loved hers as well. I will be a regular here!

It was my first time ordering from Rice Thai. I Had the pad Thai and the chicken satay with the peanut sauce. So much flavor in every bite. contrasting textures with the crushed peanut. Delicious. already trying to figure out what I'm ordering next.

I don't know who is cooking the food back there but it is amazing. Ordered pad Thai and a soup. It is great. If you are stuck on what to get or looking for somewhere new. This is the place.

Great tasting food at a reasonable price. The lady working the front is overly nice. Reasonable wait time.

Most amazing Thai food. Everything is freshly prepared but well worth the wait. Best Tom Yum soup on Long Island. Consistently great food and Christie is always so kind and welcoming. Been eating here for the last five years or so and have never been disappointed!!!

Great Thai food! Vegetarian and vegan options. Their curries are spicy so if spice isn't your thing it might be best to get something else. Recommend tofu cashew nut, spicy fried rice, Tom yum soup

This place upped their game since I reviewed them last year. The Drunken Noodles were excellent (veg only), the Tofu in Basil Sauce was really good, the Tom Yum soup really hit the spot. We will be back. (We order through Door Dash). A nice hidden gem in Patchogue....yummy!

Order early, seems to take a long time to prepare food. I must recant this review, they are by far the best Thai around! They must have been very busy and I was I patient cause I was hangry. Nobody compares to these guys for drunken noodles ! Period! It's my go to for spicy and delicious!
