The host behind the cash register was very pleasant. She offered me a warm greeting upon entering, while assisting another customer and politely answered all of my inquiries. Sadly though, my taste buds were not as enthusiastically palatable as the other reviews listed here. I found nothing special in any of the dishes. I purchased the rib platter with two side dishes - mac&cheese and potato salad. I personally tasted to find that the ribs were dry and and the barbecue sauce not so complementary to the meat. The mac&cheese was just some pasta smolder in cheese - lacking any flavor. I was really looking forward to the peach cobbler pie that received much raves. Above all, this was the most disappointing. The peaches did not taste fresh - more like canned fruit. The crust was very doughy and thin. And if you are border line diabetic stay away from this pie. It is so sweet and syrupy. I was only able to take two bites. Needless to say, I had to discard the rest. It was very disappointed to say the least. The reviews were very overwhelmingly positive and made it so tempting to try this place. I did for the first time; which unfortunately became my last time. It is my opinion that The Gourmet Cobbler Factory/Clifton's Gourmet Barbecue did not reach the level of expectaton that has been hyped by all the review and did not satisfy my taste buds at all. For the reasons mentioned, I can only give this place 1 star.

Delicious! The place is perfectly low key so that we get a great deal, and the Peach Cobbler reminds me of my Moms! Wish I could walk to a place like this at home! #sogood

My bf and I are from Texas, and though we love most things about living in California, his Austin heart was yearning for real BBQ.
Most places we've tried in the area just haven't been up to our standard, but Gourmet Cobbler Factory is perfect!
We've gone there often and everything is consistently delicious, from the pulled pork to the ribs to the pies. They are also fairly fast, and family-owned.
A must-visit in Pasadena!

I moved out of Pasadena a year ago and still think about their sweet potato pie

Decently priced and delicious pecan pies (single serving sized), even when they're not in season (I bought mine in August). Small business run by a nice older couple. Get there early as they might run out ahead of closing time, which is what happened the first time I tried to go there (they close at 6pm on specific days, but were closed at 5 on the day that I tried). Also, calling in advance is hit or miss, as the voicemail is full.

Fantastic little hole in the wall shop. Lemon meringue pie and larger sized cobblers need to be ordered ahead of time.

The best cobblers you'll find in Southern California - fresh and delicious. I get them for all my family events. They're made fresh daily, so you need to order a few hours in advance.
