My sister and I were shopping in the area around 1:30 in the afternoon on a beautiful Sunday when I noticed the bakery. I was very excited and stopped in to take a look and get some information. The employees were in the back of the shop so I looked at all of the attractive pastries. A young woman came to the counter and said hello, so I asked her for a business card. I told her I'd love to come back and try the delicious looking baked goods on another day and that it was wonderful to see authentic Scandinavian pastries for sale. She rolled her eyes and said in a huff, "They're Danish." Uh, yeah. Danish indicates it is from Denmark. Denmark is part of Scandinavia. Even if she's not aware of this OR if the customer was incorrect, the attitude behind the response was a little too much. Not in the mood to provide a quick cultural tutorial for such a surly clerk, I left without a word. And of course, no lovely looking danish... Two stars are given because the goods looked fresh and delicious and the prices seem to be reasonable. Perhaps a visit on another day might yield a different experience and/or clerk. I'd be happy to change my rating at that time.

Danish bakery with a functioning on-site baking operation. I really enjoyed the almond kringle and chocolate bun. The textures reminded me of fresh croissants. Not sure if it was insufficient grounds or low water temperature, but the coffee tasted watery even before my first bite of pastry. Stronger coffee would have complement the heady almond and sweet chocolate. There's plenty of parking on Foothill in front of the bakery. There are a handful of parking spaces behind the bakery but you'd need to enter the alley off Rosemead or Quigley.

Get the Ice Box cupcake. It is an oreo-meets-cupcake combination that will delight your tastebuds, especially on a hot day since they refrigerate them. Reasonable prices!

Love this place so much, the pastries are fresh and really you won't find anything else anywhere close by. Can't wait to go back to Pasadena, going to try to mail myself a box!

Luckily this was just across the road from our motel. It totally has the vibe of Denmark and everything we tried was perfect. Obviously totally authentic recipes and no shortcuts on ingredients
