When I get a hankering I simply will not be denied. Recently I got a sushi craving. But my usual joint was closed. So I decided to try someplace new. Sushi was really good. Though I didn't care for the Kani (imitation crab meat/sea sticks) they use. Dunno, just didn't care for the flavor. Different than what I'm used to is all. Also the gyoza wasn't fried as crisp as I prefer. There's no teppanyaki here, but they do prepare hot dishes like terriyaki, etc. Service was good. No complaints there. My gold standard for Japanese restaurants is always whether they offer natto. I learned to love natto on rice or in a makimono roll from my former mother in law. If a joint has natto, you know it has to be legit. Sadly, none found in KC Metro so far. If you know a place please let me know so I can visit. Another observation, they don't provide the wooden disposable chopsticks here. They're regular plastic ones. Which at first I thought was a nice touch. But turned out they were slippery when eating the sushi.

Kome Sushi is a lovely place to eat, my daughter's favorite, and I enjoy it too. The location is relatively small and somewhat hidden within a unremarkable shopping mall. You'll find Kome Sushi is a peaceful place to dine. They have a good selection of sushi. If you don't enjoy raw items, about half of the menu includes items for you. The service is fast and friendly. The sushi is great! I would suggest to the owners that they don't use the main dining room as a storage room by either maintaining a lower stock level or parking a trailer in the back. I recommend Kome Sushi.

I love this place so much, it’s unreal! It’s so hard to find my favorite roll — Kome Sushi is the ONLY place in the KC area that seems to have it, and luckily they’re only 10 min away! The service is always above and beyond amazing, the food is to die for, and the price is amazing! Such a wonderful little hidden gem and my new favorite restaurant, hands down!

Best sushi I have had in Kansas City! We were looking for some place close, and this restaurant popped up. Based on reviews we picked it and we were not disappointed!

I was promptly greeted at the door with friendly service! This was my first time in. I went for pan fried dumplings and a side of rice. Everything came out perfect! I loved every bite down to the last grain of rice. I’ll definitely be going back for more.

Pretty good sushi, wish there was an all you can eat option cause it wasn’t cheap for 4 rolls

I always love ordering take out from Kome Sushi! Every roll is fresh and full of flavor. They don't overuse sauces, but put just the right amount to make it tasty. They also don't add too much rice. It's the perfect amount. My favorite rolls are the State Line Roll and the Evergreen Roll.
