Picoso! Mexican Grill

The food was fresh and tasty. They even make the tortillas fresh. But I was disappointed at how long it took to get the food. The visit took place on a Friday between 1:00pm and 1:15pm. It doesn't make sense to me that there would be only 2 people working the counter at lunch rush time on a Friday. After we got the food from the counter we went to sit down and saw that none of the tables had been wiped off from whoever sat there before us, which is kind of nasty. If you want to order in advance over the phone and then just to into the Picoso, pay and take your food to go, then I would recommend this restaurant. If you are looking for a Fresh Mex style, one-up-from-fast-food, dining "experience", I would NOT recommend this Picoso on Garfield and Rosecrans in Paramount. As an aside, I visited this restaurant specifically because I had purchased a "nearby" Groupon. The Groupon was "pay $14.00 and get $28.00 worth of food from Mexican Picoso Grill". The fine print did read "Must use full value in 1 visit". But I honestly thought that meant that if I did not order $28.00 worth of food there would be no money "left over" on the Groupon. Instead, when I got there, I learned that it meant the total order had to be at least $28.01 in order to be able to use the Groupon voucher. Luckily the Groupon was such that the money would be refunded if the Groupon was not used by 9:00pm the day it was purchased.
