Review Macarthur Park - Palo Alto

Totally unsatisfactory dining experience. It was disorganized, terrible experience I had. We paid $192.00 each for the following: 1， The hostess did not note our reservation correctly. She went ahead and seated us, but our waiter called the hostess over to the table to prove we had paid. Ened up I had two wriskband. 2，A party of people unknown to us was seated at our table by the host. 3，When we requested hot water, we were told to get it ourselves. We were also told that there would be no hot water after 11:00 p.m. 4，There was few lipstick mark on the "clean" coffee cup. 5，Buffet $80 (official website) COVID or not, we expect a lot more consideration for close to $400.00.

Lovely spot for a happy hour or a low-key dinner. The cocktails could use a bit of an oomph but overall a good spot.Service is A+ ❤️Buttermilk chicken -super moist and tasty

Delicious food and excellent service, with romantic ambiance. It’s one of those restaurants that would make it hard to chose where to seat because both indoor and outdoor are gorgeous. We went there for the first time for dinner and live band music. As we were sitting at our table enjoying the restaurant we were greeted by the Chef/Owner, Mr.FAZ, and later on we even received a special treat by him. What a nice and generous gesture. I sure highly recommend this place to anyone who would like to experience fine dining and beautiful ambiance. The rack of lamb was superb. Service was excellent. I certainly will go back to MacArthur Park location and other FAZ locations again.

If you want an amazing dining experience… this is where you come. The food is awesome…I know that and I’m pretty sure everyone that works here knows that. The drinks are immaculate. But the service you get, it’s one of a kind. Palo Alto is top 3 worst cities I have ever visited and I’ve traveled around the country. The people in Palo Alto are rude, boujie and down right a-holes. But this place, man they just get it. They treat you like family. I’ve never met them, but they feel like family who want you to come into their home to share an amazing meal. All of my terrible experiences in this city were obliterated by this staff just by this one experience. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend my evening. This isn’t so much of a review as it is a thank you. So, thank you MacArthur Park. It was truly a pleasure. -Curtis

Went here for my SO's birthday. Ordered the avocado prawn salad and lamb rack. Absolutely delightful, perfectly cooked prawns, tender and juicy. Staff were all wonderful and attentive, took great care of our table.

First off, this is a beautiful space. The vibe and layout is open and welcoming, perfect for small or large parties looking to share a variety of BBQ items but also filet mignon and whole rotisserie chicken. Unfortunately, my experience was lackluster. The potato skins (which is not the traditional split in half with cheese, sour cream, etc) its small bits of chopped rind and potato. The onion strings were ok, nothing special, and the artichoke was served cold versus warm from the grill which was odd. In terms of the ribs, they were not fall off the bone - a bit tough and chewy which was surprising because the rest of the taste/flavor was quite good. Mac & cheese was good but again, just ok, nothing spectacular. The desserts were a bit better. Wine choices are mediocre but a few selections that could round out a variety of food choices. So I don't want to paint the wrong picture - the staff was very pleasant, and no rush or anything like that, but sorry, not the best BBQ as the claim is.

"Awesome place. Always has been and it has hosted several of our families milestones. Host stand hospitality has gone down the tubes and the innovation behind the kitchen seems to be a bit lacking. Wish they would elevate the holiday brunch menu by serving some different items year after year. Still a great pick as always for the special occasion brunch."

Horrible experience on our second visit here. On mother's day they managed to achieve our worst Mother day's lunch or dining experience. Food was uncooked, smelly, low quality, the staff very unfriendly and unwelcoming So called manager on duty handled the feedback when he asked how the food was and heard our answer that the food was not that good. He said "oh, that's not good." And then brought some even worse left over looking cake slices as a gesture. But, no thank you. I highly recommend the management to reach out so I can share more details about this experience.

So disappointed! Mother’s Day Brunch 2018. $54 per person plus tax and tip. Wouldn’t have minded the price but the place was a madhouse with a buffet to boot. To start, you had to find parking and because there was none, you were forced to pay for valet parking ($6) and despite having made reservations in advance, you still had to wait in a long line to get in, then a long line at the buffet. Food was what you expect for a buffet and was really nothing super special despite the hefty price. The place was so hot and even after asking the staff to correct it several times , the temp never changed and the air just felt so stale. No ambiance whatsoever. Felt like a cafeteria. Just way too hectic for Moms who were supposed to be celebrating their special day. We couldn’t get out of there fast enough.

Omg!!!! This place is absolutely amazing. The ambiance is impeccable, the food is amazing, the service is 5 stars..

While I have to agree that Happy Hour service can be pretty silly, still I had a wonderful experience in the dining room for my birthday dinner last night. Service was excellent and the food was superb!

Services and ambient is good food is terrible, love the location, hopefully they change the menu or chef...

Had the worst experience at the bar! Wrong drinks, different food delivered than the description on the menu & ignored! Had to go to the host stand to get s final check!!!! Don't go during Happy Hour,Service Sucks!

Laura is by far the best waiter they have! Ask for Laura! She works hard and I always see her with a beautiful smile. I wish all waitresses were as good as Laura.

Ribs were ok. I've had better. Prefer them to be more tender snd almost falling off the bone. Shouldn't be chewy.

Good, people, good food and I was there for the DLD event.

It's incredible to say, but all 7 of us having dinner for my Mom's birthday agreed on this (and that NEVER happens), truly one of the worst meals we've ever had! The service was not terribly attentive, soup was served cold, then blasted in a microwave to heat it up. The 3 of us that had steaks all couldn't finish them, flavorless most likely frozen meat? My Mom's burger was tiny on a huge roll. My niece found the Mac and Cheese to be overcooked. For $14 Mac and Cheese should not be overcooked. With all of us having been their collectively over 500 times in the last 30 years it's with a heavy heart we say 'Never Again!'
