Great place to relax with a cocktail and listen to music in a waterfront setting. Live music and great happy hour with an extensive menu.

On the plus side, it's a nice welcoming environment with view of the marina. Also, our server was very pleasant and didn't feel the need to mention her name, a nice touch. The fellow playing live music was fine.
As for the food, the lobster bisque was as expected. The "Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes" we're pretty heavy on the filler, but they were tasty enough. I had a hard time finding the garlic flavor in the garlic mashed potatoes, but the spinach with goat cheese and bacon side dish was excellent.
My lady ordered the half rack of what was referred to as baby back ribs, but were really Saint Louis style ribs, which were not cooked long enough, very tough, although the sauce was tasty. We mentioned that to our server, but no effort was made by any of the staff to make further inquiry.
We're both going to go back another time and try something else on the menu, because the atmosphere was very nice, and the staff is friendly. Prices are what you would expect at and upscale style Marina restaurant. We will choose a table away from the bar next time, because happy hour had set in and the political opinions at the bar were loud and, as you might expect, devoid of evidence or fact.
This is our first time in since the new owners took over a few years ago. So we're going to give them another shot.

Beautiful ocean views, nice decor inside. Food was average menu was limited. Wait staff was friendly but not very knowledgeable. Our waiter gave us the wrong Specials and when he realized his error we had to change our selections. Bartender makes awesome drinks. Perhaps my expectations were too high. Nice place but not a WOW!.

Went there for their Wednesday lobster specials, 2- 1.25 lb+ lobster with house slaw and potato salad for $25. Incredible deal one of my lobsters must have been 2lb. All I can say is our table went very quiet until we were all done with our meal. Only problem was our waitress had too many tables and could have been a bit more attentive. Nice location had music outside overlooking the marina. Will go again.

Nice happy hour. Service was good. The outdoor patio was cool w/ live music. Had the mussels app, good sized and tasty. Bf had the wings and they were also good. I was a little hesitant bc of previous reviews, just goes to show people need to find out for themselves!

As others have written, this restaurant needs work. Service was slow. I will say, however, that my glass of wine was brought promptly but there was a piece of the foil from the wine bottle in my glass. We weren't charged for the wine thanks to the manager. My husband and I wanted a nice meal in a quiet spot. On entering the restaurant, the music was way too loud. The decor was a bit tacky. We opted to sit on the nice patio. It was a muggy night but there were fans, which helped a lot. My husband order fish and chips while I ordered the salmon. We waited over 30 minutes for our meals. My dish looked gray, was luke warm and was supposed to include artichokes of which I received maybe a quarter of one. The salmon tasted like plastic and the sauce was greasy and tasteless. My husband's fish became greasy as it cooled and the fries weren't very good. He wasn't impressed. I think we'll pass on coming back.

The Blu mangrove is under new management and that's an important step in the right direction. Over the past year we have been very disappointed with our visits due to spotty service, poorly prepared meals and disappointing experiences. We look forward to the new management getting a few bugs out of their system and being prepared to service their clientele in a manner that gives everyone a positive experience.
During our most recent visit we attempted to sit in a quieter shaded area but that changed about five minutes later when they started bringing out tables and moving tables around and chairs and getting ready for a buffet of sorts. It took about 45 minutes to rearrange things and needless to say our quiet lunch was no more. The food we ordered was okay but nothing special. We ordered a grouper Reuben and a Portobello mushroom sandwich with grilled vegetables. The Portobello and the grilled veggies we're very good. The grouper Reuben was not as good. The fish tasted fine but the bread became soggy and was not eaten. For the price I would have expected a better prepared sandwich.
We hope they get the kinks out of the way and are able to offer a more pleasant dining experience. We look forward to returning once they have established new management.

I did not like this experience under the new ownership. The tables are covered with heavy brown paper instead of tablecloths which don't conform to the table. I ordered a Seafood Cobb salad that was extremely sparse: barely enough greens to cover the plate, no egg slices - although I did see some mashed yolk, the most minute crumbles of cheese, and a very overdone half of a petite lobster tail I have ever had. It was so overcooked I could not get the meat out of the shell with a fork but had to pick it up with my fingers and forcibly break it open. The shrimp, however was perfectly cooked. The waitstaff was attentive, courteous and personable but the meal was a disaster at $19.00.
