Great spot for coffee and breakfast. We had the wrap and it was delicious, although we got extra mushrooms and I wouldn't recommend that. Juices were good and avo on toast was yum.

Lovely vibe for a café. Spacious and busy, though the decor was such that it didn't feel cramped. Not a huge amount of vegan options But the south American filter coffee was beautiful.

Strange and very rude for no reason. We ordered our food and coffee, sat down on the balcony under the shade. The awning was automatically retracted so we politely asked for it to be put back down. Everyone out on the balcony was asking “who’s going to go ask?” I went inside and asked one of the staff members If it was possible and was instantly met with hostility and rudeness, it was strange as I was just generally asking. I asked if there was any chance if it could be put back down, and was replied with well you can pay the $30,000 for the awning as it’s too windy. I replied with that there isn’t any wind, hence why we were all cooking on the balcony and then “awninator” revealed her scary face and her game of putting the awning back and fourth every few minutes began. I don’t know if it became a joke, but they put the awning back and fourth four times while we were there, when it rained it was open, when it was sunny it was opened and then it would go back down for a minute and then back again. So strange, everyone was cooking in the sun and just met with hostility. The worst bit was how rude the staff member was when it wasn’t in response to us only politely asking for it to remain shaded. I think the “awninator” isn’t happy her holidays are over! Not fair on the rest of the staff as the food and coffee are great, maybe bring sunscreen a hat and a willingness to be spoken to badly for no reason!

Visited recently for a quick brekkie and enjoyed the industrial open interior! The woman that greeted us was super friendly and made us feel welcome when entering the cafe. We only had about 30 minutes to spare, so we’re so glad service was super quick! Ordered two coffees and the big breakfast plate to share (can’t remember or find exact name). We really enjoyed our meal, however we were a bit disappointed that for its price it was pretty small. Sadly the coffees were really bitter for us, and we didn’t enjoy them. We really liked the cafes vibe, so it was still a nice space to come early morning and energise for the day!

Delicious meals, outstanding coffee and the muffins are divine. The açai bowl for me is the best on the coast! Great atmosphere. I have been having food coffee here since this cafe was open. I love it! It’s my every Sunday cafe.

We had $11.50 remaining on a gift voucher and decided to drop in and have coffee and something to eat. The coffee was nice, the almond croissant was OK, but the service was ... unusual. The total order was $16.00 and the lady serving needed to get her phone out and fire up the calculator app to work out how much I owed ($16.00-$11.50 = ?) OK, so not everyone is good at math. But then she had absolutely no idea how to charge me an additional $4.50 and so asked me to come back after our coffees and pay the remainder. The almond croissant was delivered to our table stone motherless cold, so we needed to take it back to get it warmed up. OK ... so none of that's ideal and all a bit inconvenient, but in the spirit of doing the right thing and paying what we owed after we had finished, my wife approached the counter to ask how we could settle our account because we were not planning to stand in line behind 8-10 other people. The girl behind the counter (same one as it happens) says "oh, you're the voucher people ... do you have cash?" You've got a great venue, nice coffee and great food (last time we were there I had the street wrap from memory, and it was fab), and you are clearly popular, but when your staff behave like that I just feel a little ... perplexed. OK, so if all of that was the very worst thing that happened to me today then it wasn't such a bad day ... but the service from your staff (well, one of your staff) doesn't make me feel like I would go out of my way to return to the BB for coffee again. I didn't feel particularly valued, and there are lots of other places that also sell great coffee and food, and the staff make you feel welcome and special. Other people probably would have just walked away and kept their $4.50. If it was such a problem sorting out our account then I'll bet others had the same problem too ... which means you are probably losing money. Sorry for the review, but I thought you'd like to know. :( All the best.

Long wait, rude owner! Waited over 1hr for breakfast along with many others. No communication on wait time when ordering. Followed up on food as friends were going to miss a flight and the waitress was nice about it. Then followed up again to ask for a refund and the owner grilled us. ‘This is the busiest cafe on the Gold Coast, you shouldn’t have come here before a flight’. Got refunded for breakfast only, couldn’t even cover our coffees for the wait. We are locals and loved coming here and won’t be returning. Can recommend Refinery in Currumbin, amazing food, coffee and service.

Just had a awesome brunch today @ barefoot Barista with my mother. The lentils were to die for & so was the Turkish bread. I highly recommend going there along with a caramel iced latte! Mum had a caramel & honey cake which she loved & finished so quickly lol. Hats off to the chefs & staff, so professional! Will definitely be going back 👍🏼😃...
