Chester's Fried Chicken Pbg

This food was absolutely TERRIBLE😝. There was nothing to compensate for the nasty, overly chewy chicken because even the sides were gross. The potato wedges tasted like one block of UNcooked, raw potato with NO taste or seasoning. The fried corn was an overly sweet and salty MUSHY joke. The biscuits were kinda tolerable but even they were mushy on the inside and could've been raw dough. The whole place is just Ugh! Never eating there again!

I stopped in to try Chester's after seeing so many good reviews. I grabbed an 8pc family meal. The chicken was great, hot and crispy- I would get it again. However, I really wasn't impressed with the sides. I've had more superior mashed potatoes, macaroni and biscuits elsewhere. I can easily forgive this though because the workers were very kind, and everything was rather cheap when compared to Popeyes & similar chains. I think it works in a pinch! Oh and fyi- it's inside the Chevron station, in the back right-hand corner. Was pretty clean and well taken care of when I was there.

Chester's Fried Chicken Saw many good reviews about this place... Usually Popeyes/Publix chicken is my go to, then KFC. Not sure what happened today but one of the worst food experiences ever. · They didn't have the fried corn which I really wanted to try, real bummer... Gone at 6:30pm??? Told them reluctantly to replace with potato wedges · Arrived on time and properly · Their wedges are one of, if not the worst ever... The batter smelled of 7 day old grease, and they tasted like it was sitting out for two days, and the potatoes were dry... Literally had to throw the WHOLE batch out... I can't remember the last time I threw away a whole portion of a meal because it was inedible from a fast food joint · They included mac and cheese to replace I guess another Cole slaw which I ordered instead, and I hate mac and cheese unless it's of pristine quality in the first place, and this was just the opposite... I can't even describe how bad this was, but they sure stuffed the container to the brim... Maybe it was garbage/leftovers like the wedges · The Cole slaw was below average... No taste... Clearly worse than KFC and Popeyes · The tenders were ok... Was slightly overcooked and not much taste but edible · The dark meat chicken was ok, also slightly overcooked but edible... The batter was super hard though, like an armor coating, especially on the thigh, not sure what that's supposed to be · The sweet and sour sauce was average, edible · I requested an original sauce and there's none to be found My mouth still reeks of those wedges OMG, do they EVER clean their oil? Gross...
