My grandson Den and I had a great lunch at Sonnys yesterday . We think it's the best BBQ in town . I had sliced pork and fries , Den had brisket and coleslaw . Our waitress was very accommodating.
Very pleased with my experience tonight and the waiter I had was just beyond amazing!!! The waiter working table 48 keep doing your job ��

Good food fast and friendly service. I never go away hungry! I still like way it was decorated when it was first opened but I guess change is necessary.
Nicest staff we have ever encountered at any restaurant let alone sonnys.... we are new to town and it was a great experience

The salad bar was fresh and delicious. Our server was right on time. A very nice young man.
Been to other locations and haven't been to impressed so its been awhile since we have gone to Sunny's. This was a blessing. We were extremely hungry. The service was great our waitress was fabulous and the food arrived quickly. Taste was amazing. We live about 25 miles away a d I'm sure there is one closer but we will be coming back to this location and try to do on a month or every other month ritual.
Great BBQ! My girlfriend and I split the 3 plate combo and got the pulled pork, sliced brisket, and ribs with sides of potato salad and green beans. The meat was well smoked and delicious! I really loved the potato salad and green beans. We tried all 5 of their BBQ sauces and they all had their place. The spicy wasn’t spicy at all so that would be my only critique, but I love spicy so it could be that too. I will absolutely be back.
Seated quickly, service quick and on point and food was very good. Our server was very friendly and good. Stopped in after a showcase game at St. John’s River College. Can house teams, but call ahead they have notes on door that they are short staffed
First time here. Awesome experience! Our server, Amanda, was friendly and attentive. She suggested the freshly baked cookies for dessert, and they were fantastic! All the food was delicious. This location is so much better than the one in St. Augustine on U.S. 1! When in Palatka, we’ll be back for sure.
Typical Sonny’s BBQ. Nothing to phone home about but good. Service was a little hit or miss, but it was a new kid so we were understanding. Think he did a good job for being new. The tea was one of the best I’ve had at these sort of places so that’s a good buy. Pulled pork was moist but needed some more smoke if you ask me. Ribs were great. Pull away from bone perfect.
We got take out Tuesday night for a picnic dinner as we were from out of town St Louis dry ribs, chicken dinner, egg rolls etc:the food was fresh even the bread was delicious and soft something we are not used to on take out order. Great job to those folks working that night definitely would go back !!! J.Costa
Stopped on the way back from St. Augustine. First visit to Sonny's. The waitress gave us menus with some suggestions within 2 minutes. What to order? Everything looks good!
We decided on making our own bowls with plenty to choose from. I had pulled pork and brisket with dirty rice and other fixings and sauces.
The meat was tender and flavorful. The serving size was generous. I took half home!
The beverage is HUGE. I don't think I drank 10% of it.
On the way out I saw the platters with 3 types of meat and fixings. Maybe next time!
Wish I had room for dessert. The banana pudding looked delicious.
We left with a half pound of pulled pork for someone who didn't make the trip.
Enough for 2 generous sized sandwiches.
I live much closer to a Sonny's and never tried it. I think I'll be visiting there in the near future.
