I visited Paia Gelato with a friend recently, and I was blown away by the number of options we had. They have both dairy and non dairy options, and their selection includes a lot of the local exotic flavors. The person who was helping us was super nice. She let us try a lot of different flavors. My friend got a non dairy gelato flavor with lilikoi, and I got the salted caramel. The salted caramel was pretty decent, though it was slightly more salty
The consistency and the texture were pretty good. My friend liked his non dairy lilikoi flavored ice cream as well. The shop wasn't busy when we were there and the staff was super nice.
Awesome gelato. Great job bringing local flavors. The Thai lime ginger coconut gelato was great. Really enjoyed the coffee flavors too.
Absolutely loved Paia Gelato! Wide variety of flavors, generous with the sampling, and they even had a whole case of dairy free options, which we were so grateful for. If you’re visiting this cute little town, definitely make time to stop by this gelato shop. Sean was great!
Must try the Hawaiian tropical flavor it’s delicious! They don’t have sitting area but they have Taylor Swift music and smile on their faces. Portion sizes are reasonable and the price a bit spicy.
The best "ice cream" we have found on the island. Don't miss it if you're in the area. Seriously delicious house made gelato and sorbets. The staff was super friendly and the shop very clean. I highly recommend the Sandy Beach flavor. ❤️
Nice little place to get gelato and snacks on your way to Hana.
They have a nice selection of flavors, some dairy free also.
We tried the strawberry and pineapple, plus a lava bar. All were delicious. Staff was also very friendly!
I promise you this is the best gelato on the island. The flavors are crafted so well, so unique but authentic island flavors. Such a special place for a sweet treat and lunch
Had the Sandy Beach and Pistachio. Perfect flavors, no coloring, and creamy. With all the smoothies they have too, I look forward to going back next time I'm in or passing through Paia!
Friendly service. The sandwiches are freshly made while you wait. I got the veggie option called the Captain Aloha. It was delicious with a tomato humus. My Hubby got a Pau’au sandwich with ham, cream cheese and onions. It was amazing! We took the “picnic lunch” deal that gave you chips and a cookie with your sandwich for only $1 more. The seating is limited. But at 1:00 we ordered our sandwiches and were able to sit down right away. Parking is the biggest problem in this town. Just head to the big lot as you first come and wait for a place to open. It doesn’t take long. :)
After we walked around downtown- we came back to the shop for their ice cream. My Hubby got the local favorite “POG” ( pineapple/orange/guava). I got the mango sorbet. Nice portions and fresh tasting.
Enjoy !
Stopped here on our way to road to Hana for a quick breakfast. The breakfast croissant was so flaky and delicious !!
