The restaurant is gone due to a fire but the good news is that they are rebuilding (in the same location ). In the meantime they are offering a food truck just behind where the restaurant stood. There are covered picnic tables. The young lady taking orders is amazing! So sweet and helpful, hardworking and efficient! We ordered chips and salsa and nachos to eat there(excellent!) and carnitas plate and chili relleno to take home. Large portions, absolutely delicious. Help out these hard working folks to rebuild! Make the drive to Pahoa, be prepared for a fun experience and some great food. Can't wait for the reopening!

Love this place best Mexican food on the island. The owner bakes his own bread and rolls for sandwiches. He raises is own cattle. Great food excellent servers.

My favorite place!! I am a nacho lover so I ate them almost every day I worked. The fish tacos are also a favorite and I really loved when they had fresh blackened ahi with Salvador Luquins homemade dressing! Order me up a Frozen Lilikoi Margarita with nothing on the rim!

Very casual place. Good vibe. Customers knew each other in some cases plus wait staff and customers also did. Left like a family gathering place. Good portions and tasty food. Service was friendly and promt. Overall great experience we were glad to have chosen on adventures on the big island.

Nice, small, cozy place. They have a full bar and a vast selection of beer. I had a corona familiar and a fish and shrimp taco salad- their house sauce or whatever was in it was delicious. Our waitress was awesome and helpful.

The food here was very good. Tasted amazing and presented very well. Staff was really friendly and prompt with service. Food came out quickly and was hot and fresh. Only issue was the atmosphere. Very loud obnoxious group at the bar. Very loud and obnoxious family seated directly behind us. Kids screaming and throwing food all over. This is no fault of the restaurants, just makes it hard to enjoy a nice meal. Overall the food and service was amazing.

Food was very good. Blended Margaritas were weak. Will try on the rocks next time. We were there at 6pm and it was pretty noisy. Tofu taco was a great choice for a vegetarian. Ordering a side of guacamole was a good idea. Service was fine.

We were going through the roundabout when we spotted this little Mexican restaurant I decided to stop in. They have a good size bar that was full of many very happy locals. Also a decent amount of seating. We ordered the shrimp burrito which was very good although not very many shrimp and the crispy state tacos. Generous amount of guacamole. Service was genuine and friendly

I ordered the steak and shrimp and my wife the tamale. Both were pretty tasty. The shrimp were amazing. The beans and rice were not super hot when they came out. That's really the only loss of a star. We ordered the churro cheesecake and key lime pie. They were both really good.

Solid Mexican restaurant! I had the carnitas burrito and my wife had the chicken fajitas. Serving sizes were great, the chicken was nice and soft, and the guacamole was fresh. Our server was great as well! Only complaint is the pork was a dry style, which isn't what we were looking for with the burrito.

Prime rib on Friday night was spectacular. Vegetables were crisp and cooked well. All of the Mexican food that came out look great. I wish I had the room to try it, but the prime was huge and very fulfilling.
