Friendly place with some good food. Interesting to see all the pictures of Roosevelt.
Got the steamers... they were real steamers or as some people call them “pisser clams”. Most restaurants outside of Connecticut have steamers on the menu but they are just tiny ass clams... don’t be fooled! This place actually had the real deal steamers and they were amazing!
Great food & friendly staff! Plus minutes from Sagamore Hill after our visit. This place has Roosevelt & Oyster Bay histoey here that is very cool as well.
Great service, food and just plain ole' FUN! Celebrating moms 84th birthday with her four daughter's. We had an absolute DELISHOUS time. Thank you!

Great food with lots of history. Ordered oysters, fish tacos and seafood gumbo.
Environment was decked out in Theodore Roosevelt, very cozy feel. The service was excellent, very above average. Food was very good and did not take a long time. Tasted fresh. I had a shrimp and BLT and it exceeded my expectations. Johnny had a burger and said it was very good, as well as the fries.
I had the fish and chips and my granddaughter and her girlfriend had the chicken tenders and fries. We all agreed that they were delicious; done correctly in that the batter was crispy and the meat/fish was done and not greasy. Same with the fries. I enjoyed the local brew I drank. We liked the
Great food! The menu had a lot of variety. Definitely would start with the pretzel. Service was excellent. Decor was cool, made the place feel very comfortable. Will definitely return.
This place is AMAZING! Good beer, fantastic good and the staff are super friendly and polite. After our meal we went next door to the lackluster micro brew and then ended up back at Cantwrbury's for a good beer, some coffee and an impromptu stand-up routine from the manager which was hilarious. Went here for a casual dinner and was casually surprised by the food. The menu is extensive, everyone should beable to find something they want. Laid back pub style atmosphere with plenty booth and table seating. Tasteful signage nautical artwork, the kind of restaurant Oyster Bay deserves. Fresh Oy
It was amazing. The service is nice and everyone is so friendly. The food is so magic and delicious. Grilled Swordfish and Crispy Salmon are fantastic. I wish I'll rate this please 10, but it's only 5 stars. Loved and love. I suggest anyone this place.
Just went here for a date tonight. Staff were super nice, sangria was excellent, and the menu was really unique. The lamb lollipops were really good and my date enjoyed the fish tacos. Looking forward to coming here again soon!
I go here as often as possible (it’s a trip from Long Beach!). The food is really VERY good and the place is fascinating! Books everywhere (you can take one down and read it) and historic pictures, photos and charts. Friendly atmosphere. With whatever else I may order I usually order fried oysters,
Had an outstanding burger maybe tastiest in the area. Beer selection rocks too. Staff very attentive and eager to please. Very much recommend giving this cozy quaint haunt a try soon.
Had some really nice oysters and fish n chips here. Great beer list as well and service was efficient and friendly. Manager was on top of everything. Very pleasant and laid back experience at this Oyster Bay institution.
