Mexican comfort food.. at nearly 40 Years of being in business, that definitely spells delicious! It's like visiting your abuelita, and having her cook breakfast or lunch for you.💞 My family as well as a friend we brought on a few occasions.. love their flautas! It doesn't seem like much at first but; let's just say...you won't leave hungry from here.😋😉 Everything is handmade by the owner herself, which is an attestment to the high quality and leaves us feeling very (fully) satisfied.

1st impression: it's located in the very rough part of town in the Colonia. Very limited parking too. As you walk in, it's a bit of a dive with no lights on. The source of light was the sunshine coming through the small windows. They have several tables alongside their kitchen in full view. Where they truly shine is in their very friendly table service. My cousin highly recommended the gorditas at this place. So my bro and I had to see what the buzz was all about. We decided to split an order of 2 gorditas with pork and an order of 2 tacos with shredded beef. Both were tasty but not exactly what I expected. They use a deep fried hard shell corn tortilla for the tacos that made it a little tough to eat. The shredded beef inside was tender and the toppings were very fresh. The gordita was also made from a deep fried corn shell. The crust is about a millimeter thick and had good flavor. The pork was very tender and the toppings were good too. If I would go back I would probably stick to the tacos. I would ask them not to deep fry them & maybe just get them double wrapped with soft corn tortillas.

Have been coming here for years. The owners are our friends. Try the pork meat quesadillas! Super delicious!!! And the flautas. Or the Pork Meat burritos with beans and cheese!
