Mcewen's Oxford - Oxford - Photo album

Very popular Oxford restaurant, the menu is focused and has several excellent entree choices. The catfish and snapper were average for us but the fried oysters were great and so were the deserts! Great bar and overall experience. Highly recommend.
The photos online don't do it justice! The ambiance and vibe were calm and cool. Our waiter was excellent, and we absolutely loved the food. The complimentary rolls were scrumptious. I'd strongly, strongly recommend both the gumbo and the banana cream pie!
As we arrived, we were nicely greeted at the door. We had made reservations, which work really well. The waiter was attentive without being invasive. She even brought a big bowl of iced water for my service dog. As many times happens to me, I asked for mild food and it wasn’t as mild as I would have
They’ll be better when they re-expand their menu again but the food quality is always excellent and the service is some of the best you’ll get in a college town.
Really nice meal and staff. Music a little loud.
I've had the tuna tacos and the salmon salad - both were excellent. Pic is of the tuna tacos. If you are trying to front on a date, the tacos are a little sloppy to hold all together so save those for a 2nd or 3rd date. 1st date go for the salmon salad.
Service was fast and friendly. Food was excellent. Considering we are dealing with local covid restraints as to masks and reduced capacity in restaurants, a very good dining experience.
Great service and food.
