We had a lovely dinner in this place. Can’t praise the food enough, everything was tasty, inventive and well presented. The scallop (in option in the menu) is absolutely worth it. I enjoyed the wine pairing as well, with sweet wines with the desserts, something I am not used to. The staff was very kind as well. It is pricey but very well worth it all things considered.

Offering 5 or so different lunch menus, the options were endless but we settled for the 3-course lunch menu at £38.50. We started with warm country loaf served alongside two types of butter: yeasty malt and herb, followed by amuse bouche of pork croquettes and sweet beetroot meringues with goats curd filling. This was followed by our entrees, which we shared - scorched mackerel with smoked creme fraiche, pickled onions, arrow grass and caviar (my favorite!); chicken terrine with peaches and wild herbs; and burrata and tomatoes with pickled nectarine sorbet and black olive crumb, that came with a tomato essence drizzle. We picked the same main, which is the 48 hour beef with marrow and onion jam, carrot purée and elderberries. We were stuffed by the end of our mains. For desserts, we had the strawberry and thyme ‘tart’, peach Melba of sorts and chocolate with hazelnut. We enjoyed every single dish and could’ve skipped dinner considering how full we were at the end of our meal!

I am 14 years old and before coming here, I had never tried fine dining. We came to this place because we were visiting a friend who was close by although I had also wanted to have my first fine dining experience. We had the a la carte menu (2/3 courses) and began with a starter which was a complimentary meal from the kitchen. This was delicious, I have to say. We then moved on to our starter, main and pudding - these were not too heavy as we were easily able to finish all of the courses including the delectable refreshments we had at the end. This place has a great atmosphere, even though not a lot of people were in there at that time and it was not overpriced for the amount of food you were actually given. I would definitely recommend this place :)

A must-do in Oxford! We had the special 6 courses menu for Valentine's day and it was absolutely perfect (the soufflé was to die for). Each dish had a unique flavour signature and was perfectly balanced. The service team is professional as well as friendly. They deserve their star and reputation. Cannot wait to go back!

Oxford's newest Michelin star restaurant. Had the fortune to dine here while visiting the area. Service was impeccable and considerate. Very knowledgeable regarding the dishes served. Tried their chef's tasting menu. Very good array of dishes with a wide spread of taste and textures. The halibut and steak were definitely the star of the shoe. Can be crowded. Advise to plan and book before hand.

Very nice tasting menu, you get two choices and both fairly reasonable for fine dining menus. The mackerel was my favourite. It is quite far out of town, but they are well practiced at ordering you a taxi back home!

The food is amazing and the staff are extremely nice. We made some requests and they are really accommodating. They really went above and beyond for the service (which is quite rare around here). We were definitely impressed! Will go back again for sure.
