First time ordering from this place. My fiancé got the smothered pork chops over rice and the ribs. He barely ate his food and he always eats his food so I knew it was a problem. I got the catfish and chicken wings with collard greens. Greens were sweet and salty which was weird to me. The chicken was bland and even when I added my own seasonings it still had no flavor and was not crispy. The catfish was meh 🫤 very soggy and salty. Would not eat here again

Object Found In Food!!!! I hope and pray that my review helps another consumer somewhere avoid the horrible mistake I made of ordering from J-N-J Southern. After waiting approximately 73 minutes for my deliver order, everything was horrible. The shrimp southern Louisiana rice was not only horrible , bland , and over cooked but had a sour fishy taste. I also bit down on a piece of plastic that was located in my rice! The Banana pudding was Flavorless with mushy vanilla wafers. The cabbage was almost the consistency, color and taste of kimchi! The Biscuit and Corn Bread were dry almost as if they were frozen. After realizing that I could not possibly eat anything I had ordered, I called the restaurant just to be informed that if did not take more than one bite of something that I could not get a refund. Alex the “manager” was unprofessional and rude. He showed no remorse for the plastic I hurt myself with and lacked customer service skills. I’m sure he knows how horrible his food is.

So I feel compelled to write a review after reading all of the terrible ones. I just finished eating my first meal from this restaurant, as I am new to the area. I ordered before reading the reviews, so I was a little worried while I waited for my food, expecting the worst. Delivery was early- before projected time- and driver was polite and efficient. My chicken salad sandwich was just like my mom always made, and the tomato and roll were fresh and good. The hush puppies were also enjoyable- crunchy but not dry. I noted the diced onion and herbs inside. The macaroni and cheese was not for me, as it is very bland. That being said, it WAS like all the macaroni and cheese I've had in South Carolina (generally plain, made with egg). Slaw was creamy and delicious. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. I hope they continue to provide consistency in their cooking and service.

I was so excited when I see soul food pop up on Postmates, unfortunately this food wasn’t what I expected at all. My meatloaf & candied yams was probably the best thing in the whole platter. The mac & cheese taste like it was made with 100% Mayonnaise and no cheese at all. The corn bread was Had no taste , tasted like a slice of bread honestly & don’t get me started on the crushed up bread and canned peaches they called peach cobbler. Not only am I disappointed I’m hungry too.

Last night we ordered for delivery. It was our first time eating their food. I ordered the half chicken with BBQ sauce, fried egg plant, sweet potato fries and corn bread. The fried eggplant was the best I ever had! All the food was amazing, got delivered promptly and was still hot. It was the best food I’ve had in a long time!! So glad we found this place because we were going to order pizza. If I could I’d order from them all the time and never cook! Everything was perfect!!!

My experience with the service and food was not great. The lady that took my order must have been the owner. She was not very friendly or polite at all. I ordered jambalaya, fried chicken, Cole slaw and mac and cheese. Corn bread came with it which was very dry. The chicken was dry as well. The cole slaw was bland and the jambalaya wasn't seasoned that great and had big unseasoned chicken pieces .. it was not worth $30 and we will never get food there again.
