Review Kimchi Korean Restaurant - Oviedo

Kimchi Korean is a great place for introducing yourself or friends to Korean food. The food itself is really tasty, and very generous, and the staff were attentive and kind. Although we arrived an hour before closing, our server didn't rush us at all, and our food came out promptly. We started with the tteokbokki and beef/veggie fried mandu- both delicious and definitely worth ordering. Then we actually got one of the sharing casseroles which is started in the kitchen, and then finishes at your table on a portable burner. We got the seafood platter which is advertised for a minimum of 2 people. It's a great meal and comes with sides and rice, and it's healthy, tasty, and super filling. We also got a plate of bulgogi which I HIGHLY recommend - it was so tasty that we kept going back for it even though we were full!!

Little pricy. Staff prefer and help bigger parties than solo diner more. Food was good.

Good casual Korean restaurant with the classics, but nothing too special. The flavors were pretty good, but nothing stood out. I feel like the seafood in their soondubu jiigae came out of a frozen bag, and there wasn't much of it. Service was friendly and food came out fast. Prices were reasonable.

I had the perfect meal. It is not fast food, but it is very well prepared!

I was craving authentic Korean food and wanted to show my friend what the rave was about so I took them here. We ordered the bibimbap in the hotstone bowl and naegmyeon, all of which come with side dishes. The quality of food and service were amazing and we had a great time. Would definitely come back and recommend.

UPDATE: it's 2022 and I'm back again. Still a great place to eat. Added some photos of what I got this time. Best place for that Korean feel and food. I'm a K-drama freak so I had high expectations when I first went and I've been going ever since! I've dragged about all my friends to have lunch here every Sunday. It met all my standards! Plus the ladies are really nice and friendly. Would definitely recommend the Ramyen and Dolsot bibimbab.

This is my favorite local Korean restaurant. I am a regular here, and i bring my family and guests here. Food is really great! I love Korean cuisine and have tried a lot of Korean restaurants here in the US, in Korea, and other countries, and this is one of the most authentic taste you can get outside of Korea. Kudos to the chef! Only one constructive comment, they have been tight with their Banchan (variety of small dishes). Banchan is typically served before the main course. I noticed recently, they have been serving Banchan very very close to the main course, which is unusual for a Korean restaurant. They may have a reason for doing this - but it is disappointing. Note we always order a lot every time, they can not say we are only there for the Banchan! I hope the owner hears this honest feedback- at least allow Banchan to be served earlier, when requested.

Food was amazing! We went to celebrate a birthday and the servers were very kind and attentive. We ordered a variety of food and everything was very yummy. Will definitely be returning.

Great delicious food. I was surprised how every side and my main dish was well seasoned. Nothing needed salt or extra spice. Hopefully, they bring back the discontinued dishes. I will be back indeed.🙏

Absolutely wonderful little place off of the main road. Was craving some tteokbokki and bimbimbap and this hit the spot! Everything was SO GOOD and authentic. Can’t recommend enough!

Highly recommend for anyone who loves Korean cuisine. Their sides are so fresh and delicately dressed, and their kimchi is delicious. Really enjoy having the variety of sides with the main dish as one can mix and match for endless varieties of flavor combinations. Five stars!

I have eaten here several times, and have never had a bad meal. Service is top notch, both friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!!! And be brave - the calamari dishes are awesome.

Great delicious and authentic Korean food. I lived in South Korea on two separate occasions and can tell the difference between authentic seasoning of Korean food versus the commercialized so called and fake tasting food. Excellent food, bulgoki and galbi were both fantastic. Side dishes excellent as well...only quibble was rice was a little dry. Atmosphere is simple and pleasant, service friendly. Will definitely return!

My favorite Korean restaurant! We usually order the vegetable pancake and the dak galbi. Try the mochi for dessert. Everything's delicious!

Best Korean food I've had since I traveled in Korea. The service is fast and the servers are friendly. The food is fantastic. It has a "like mama used to make it" kind of taste in that you can tell each dish was made with great care. I'll be back!
