I always ask people where's their restaurant especially when it comes to ethnic food. When I got this one as a referral I couldn't wait to try it. We arrived at 9:05 pm. They were closed bit I went to see if I could get a to go order and the nice gentle said ok. He even gaves us a free drink while we waited. Our to order was just over $60 for two people. I thought that was a bit high but for everything that was in our bag it was worth every dime. Loving forward to going back again.

Great food and great service. Owner served us and he was super friendly. It was great fun meeting him and he was always around our group to make sure we are all enjoying food delicacy. Keep it up sir ji

We ordered the Vegetarian dinner for 2. We ended up seeing 4 different servers during our dinner, but they all came very sparsely. The bathroom was locked at the time also and unavailable for use. When we first sat down a man gave us chutney but we said we were ready to order and he said the woman would come by to take it. We waited quite a while for her to eventually come, and didn't see her until the very end when she finally refilled my empty water. I had given up and started drinking my husband's. When the curry came out the chef said a comment like "Her is your rice, don't be angry" in a singing voice, but we had never made any angry comments or looks to anyone so it was confusing. We also got our naan but it was overdone and had to send it back for new naan. Additionally, according to the menu the desert is supposed to be gulab jamun, which is my favorite, but it was swappes put for toffee ice cream without staff mentioning anything. We did get a free mango lassi and we also received chai tea so that was nice. The girl who came at the end of our service to wash our hands was very kind and friendly. The food was all good but not noteworthy. It ended up being 46 without our tip included. Overall, it was a fine dinner but I probably won't be back.

Easily some the best Indian food you will find in Kansas City. This place came highly recommended and definitely lived up to the hype. The service was outstanding and friendly, very accommodating if your sweating too much from the heat. They can definitely make anything as spicy as you think you can handle. Overall I found all the ingredients to be very fresh, delicious and service was not slow either. The Inside has a decent amount of seating but this strikes me as popular place for ordering ahead and picking up. Nonetheless the do have a Buffett but like most places I’m not sure it is back up and running since COVID. Didn’t look too used. Here nor there, this place i worthy the try if you can appreciate some quality Indian food.

Hands down the best Indian restaurant I have been to. The service is excellent, they make you feel like you’re a VIP the whole time you’re there. My husband is from India and is always impressed that they get the authentic Indian taste in their dishes. They always throw in so many extra things, appetizers, tea, desserts without you ever asking, and their curries are heavenly. My absolute favorite is the goa curry, which goes very well with the mango lassi, but their butter chicken and goat curry are also amazing. We drive an hour to come here when we can and it is always worth it.

First time visit at the suggestion of a coworker. The food was served fast and was very tasty. The staff was friendly and very attentive to our needs. We were given samples of other items free of charge. Some tasty and some not so much. The chai tea and hand washing at the end of the meal was nice. The menu doesn't provide a lot of details so look for ingredients that you're familiar with when ordering. I would dine here again.

Very delicious Indian food and the hospitality was top notch. I'm not sure if the reastaurant was understaffed but it did take a while to get our food. Nevertheless, the constant food being offered on top of what we ate was great. Love the chai tea and any lassi at the end.

The food was amazing. Had the goat masala. The service was first class. If you are having a sad day the host he will for sure cheer you up. Can't stop singing his praise!

We are so happy they have found a new home and are open again. It only takes me 7 minutes longer to get there vs. the old location on College.
My family has been customers at Korma Sutra since the beginning, and with Mr. Singh since he was co-owner at Taj Mahal back when it was great. He is an amazing owner who focuses on his customers and the food is always wonderful. For people who judge the buffet against other restaurant's dinner menu, I say come back and have dinner here, the already great buffet food gets even better. Sometimes I have to eat at Korma 3 times in a week because everyone I go to lunch with wants to eat there.
Sure the buffet is "less" than spicy, and this comes from a guy who eats and breathes HOT. But you can tweak it up with chutneys and fresh peppers, and dinner is never an issue. I like my food as HOT as it comes, my wife likes hers mild, and we never have reason to complain.
If you are looking for the best Indian in KC, and some of the best service of any restaurant, this is the place! I travel a fair amount for work, both domestic and international, and I would rank Korma as one of my favorite Indian restaurants anywhere.
Mr. Singh goes above and beyond in giving my son new foods to try, and having our favorite dishes brought out if they are not on the buffet. Not once have we been charged more than the regular buffet or dinner price.

Best meal I've had in months. Literally everything on the buffet was delicious. Naan was so fresh and tasty. Mango lassi was really delicious, and so was the chai. Everyone who worked there was super friendly, fast, and helpful. I really can't say enough about how great a meal this was. I'll be back every time I'm in the area, and I'm going to recommend it to my friends.

If you like Indian food, you'll like this place. They do Indian as well as anyone. But, oh my stars, the owner is as optimistic as they come. He makes you feel like you are a guest in his house. I'm from Omaha, and when I'm in KC, it is hard to pass on BBQ. But this...
The coconut soup is to die for.

Excellent food and even better service!! The owner is awesome and makes you feel like you are their most important patron. This is the ONLY buffet I'll eat. Highly recommend their lunch buffet!!

This place is awesome! If you aren't sure about Indiana cuisine it's a great place to get your feet wet during the lunch buffet. The manager/owner is pretty enthusiastic but that just means the service is great. I've literally seen him chase customers to their car who think the wait is too long and offer them snacks and chai tea while they wait. Go and you won't be disappointed!

Such a wonderful place. It's more than just Indian food. It's an immersion into their culture. I can't recommend them enough

My (now) husband took me here on our second date, and at the time I had never tried Indian food before. It is now my favorite restaurant! For new comers—try the butter chicken, naan, and chai, and you’ll leave a believer! This is where we take all our out of guests, and they all leave as fans and request it every time they visit. Love, love, love Korma Sutra!

Every time I come to Kansas City to visit family, I must eat at this place. I love it!

Great first experience! Love the free refills, and the free extra food! Mango lassi and naan are amazing. Was here tonight with my bf. Have lots of leftovers also! Ice cream is also delicious. Everything I tried I loved! Try if you haven't great service and atmosphere also. Very friendly. Very fun!

Food was fantastic as always but the service was slow. Spent most of the night without drinks and received appetizers after our meal. Significant other received soup before our meal but it took 45 minutes for him to get it, all while we sat with empty glasses. Not worth the $64 that we spent for shit service.
Beth Whipple
A personal and family favorite for years! The food has always been amazing, the service above and beyond. The staff has always treated us like family and is so welcoming and friendly with anyone we bring with us.

Best chicken goa curry ever! Naan is amazing too! Can’t say enough about this place! So perfect!

If I could give ten stars I would. Not only was the food superb, the atmosphere and people were beyond kind, caring, and welcoming. It felt like eating with friends and family instead of a restaurant.
This restaurant is a true gem and my husband and I wish we lived closer
