I love LOVE Tea Bar in Chico, and I was hoping for a similar experience with Dam Bowls. I was not super impressed... their rice is weird tasting and dry. It also just looks weird too, remind me of maggots to be honest. The rest of the bowl was good I will say, but the sauce tasted old.

I would have given 3 stars except the shrimp skewers were so horrible. As you can see, the shrimp is basically just large bay shrimp - not what's typically used for skewers. I could forgive that if they weren't so over cooked and flavorless. It was basically like chewing on a rubber dog toy. I did

Just disappointed. I used to come here weekly, and loved being able to make a custom bowl to my liking. Now, you cannot make a custom bowl and the options are very limited. Great fresh ingredients at a reasonable price. I can only speak on behalf of the Mediterranean bowl and the tri-tip Mac and cheese, but the food is great and the service time is exceptionally fast.
