It was the first visit & it definitely won't be the last! Really good food with a fun atmosphere. Steak salad was so tender and flavorful. Some of the best sweet potato fries I've ever had. Nice selection of craft beers, wine & cocktails as well.

Fun atmosphere in the outdoor tiki section! Lobster mac and cheese was good, but needed to have some larger chunks in it. Bread pudding was tasty, but was way too firm. Service was excellent.

SUPER SPREADER Packed wall to wall. Almost nobody - patrons and staff alike - is wearing a mask. We had been at the bar for about 20 minutes before the valet came to us to get the keys to our car. No sanitary methods whatsoever; the hostess just wiped our table down with a dirty rag. I had the steak. I asked for it rare, and it was raw. That's not a big problem for me, but the nasty sauce they dumped all over everything was horrible. The vegetables were tasteless, and the mashed potatoes were under-seasoned and over-sauced. The band was enjoyable. They might not have gotten all the words right and the music didn't match the lyrics, but still, I really liked them. Anything worth doing must have music.

So I will start that I have not been here enough to give it five stars (just me, but everyone cannot be five stars [grade inflation]). I came with my wife and daughter because it had a large outdoor area (Covid) and we went off peak. I got the closest parking spot to the bar, so the stars were aligned. The outside area is 1950's Hawaiian, so just a little bit cheesy/divey, which made me smile (loved the mural of Attack of the 50 foot Woman). The covered tiki area is large with hightops, and additional area near a stage had normal tables. I had the pizza which was quite good. And saw the sunset through a moss covered live oak. If I had any complaint, it would be they did not have much local beer representation and very limited vegetarian options. But I will be back.

Super relaxed bar/restaurant in Ormond Beach. The food was awesome and well seasoned. Steak salad was exactly the way we liked it. The meatloaf plate wrapped in bacon with mashed potatoes is ridiculously good. And of course the bread pudding desert was a perfect end to our meal. Service was top notch. Fast and efficient and of course friendly. If you are in the area dont pass it by.

I came because my best friend and his wife have been here a couple of times for the Sunday Brunch. They love it!!! I just wanted to see what this place is all about. I got here about 3, Sunday Brunch finished, wasnt crowded, had to walk through and ask where the valet parking was. Because it was slow I could park my own car. Valet people, very nice. There is a bar inside and one outside on the tiki deck. Nice set up. I sat outside with my Service Dog. The servers are pretty nice, except someone came to my table to ask me for my drink order, 15 minutes later still no water. I had to ask another server for help. She was great, very helpful with me choosing between wine or spirits. I ordered the Love bites, which are steak tips. I like medium rare. They came out perfect with a littleo garlic mashed potatoes and cream saucr. Ooooh My Gawd, they were perfect. I will be back. Only thing i was kinda leery was one of the servers didnt have a mask on her face just under chin while she spoke to me.

We visited the Grind for our first time Saturday evening. From the road, I honestly thought it was a bar, but to my surprise it was an awesome restaurant. There is indoor seating, and a huge outdoor tiki dining area and bar as well. The menu has a great selection. Seafood, chicken, steak, burgers, everyone in our party said their food was excellent! I didn’t think to take any photos, hopefully next time.

This is a great outdoor place to enjoy a meal or appetizers and drinks with friends and family. I can not wait to bring my Northern guests as it has that island atmosphere, even though it is not on the water. The menu is fun and has unique names for each item, I believe from lyrics. Anyway, all the food I have had is delicious, good size portions but not too big. Servers are happy and attentive. Conscientious of COVID-19 best practices. If you have not been to the Kona Tiki bar call a friend, tell them we are going out for lunch and I will pick you up in an hour.. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. Even the art work is fun!!!
