Review Orleans Inn - Orleans

Alexander Kriz
Just went to the restaurant. It has an amazing view and is so tranquil and lovely for a family. The outdoor seating is comfy. The food is pretty good. It's a little bland in some respects but overall it's good. The berry salad is amazing, and the salmon and baked scallops were also really good. The place is run by 16 year olds, like everywhere else on the cape, so the service is alright.

Pray, indulge me as I recount my recent sojourn at the Orleans Waterfront Inn & Restaurant, a charming establishment that had graced my ocular orbs years prior, during a most peculiar televisual spectacle concerning specters. How delightful it was to finally set foot in this resplendent abode upon the Cape Cod, a locale celebrated for its pristine beauty and fabled hauntings. My presence was but one fragment of a grand tour I embarked upon, visiting New England's most illustrious haunted hotels. The anticipation that stirred within my breast as I traversed the winding path to this venerable edifice was undeniable. The gusts of wind, reminiscent of ghostly whispers, did naught but intensify my excitement. I pressed forth, my gait resolute, driven by an insatiable curiosity to partake in the ethereal marvels awaiting me within those venerable walls. Upon crossing the threshold of the Orleans Waterfront Inn, a personage of utmost refinement, clad in attire of impeccable tailoring, extended a courteous greeting. His manner, as genteel as a gentle breeze upon a summer's eve, bespoke a man well-acquainted with the ethereal inhabitants that dwelled within these sacred precincts. With grace and decorum befitting my station, I was escorted to my opulent chambers, replete with an ambiance that spoke volumes of timeless elegance. As dusk descended, I took my repast in the esteemed dining quarters of the inn. The culinary masterpieces presented before me were nothing short of exceptional, a testament to the culinary genius of the resident chef. Each delectable morsel seemed to transport me to a realm of gastronomic ecstasy hitherto unfathomable, momentarily eclipsing the otherworldly wonders I sought. Yet, dear reader, the pinnacle of my visit arrived with the arrival of the nocturnal hours. It was then, amidst the hallowed corridors and dimly lit chambers, that I beheld the apparition for which I had yearned. Adorned in a shimmering gown of yesteryear, she glided with ethereal grace before my astonished gaze, her translucent form a testament to the lingering mysteries that permeate the astral plane. To my utmost delight, it seemed the spirit was aware of my presence, bestowing upon me a spectral smile that whispered of bygone tales and ancient desires. In that moment, a profound connection to a realm unseen was forged, where the past intertwined seamlessly with the present in a waltz of shadows and murmurs. Rest assured, esteemed readers, that my stay at the Orleans Waterfront Inn & Restaurant surpassed all expectations. Its rich history and reputed phantasmagoria, which had initially piqued my interest, were eclipsed by the genuine warmth and impeccable service afforded to me. The dedication of the staff in preserving the inn's storied legacy and embracing the mystique that enshrouded it was nothing short of commendable. Should you find yourselves within the vicinity of Cape Cod, I implore you to honor the Orleans Waterfront Inn & Restaurant with your esteemed presence. Yet, heed my counsel, dear reader, for the spirits that reside within these venerable walls may, if deemed suitable, grant you a glimpse into a world unseen.

fantastic stay! Hotel is beautiful and clean. Ed, the owner, couldn't have been nicer. Cooked us breakfast and was attentive the entire stay. A total hidden gem! Five stars! We will definitely be back.

Lovely spot on the water, which is hard to find on Cape Cod however they made the awning a dark color so it retains heat and becomes unbearably hot during the day. Food is average but still a great spot for a twilight dinner

We had an awesome overnight stay and dinner. Ed was an excellent host, his daughter Megan took great care of us in the restaurant and his other daughter cooked us some outstanding food! There’s something special about a family run operation and we will definitely be back!

My family has been dining here for at least 15 years, probably 20. This is the best of Orleans. Love the tavern and the deck. Food, service, and atmosphere are always fantastic. Beyond excellent.

First time there. In town for work. I’m from Pennsylvania and do not have much for waterfront dining in y neck of the woods. Very nice place. Upscale decor and casual dining. I had the fish sandwich. Very good, hot and crispy. FF well done, perfect with tarter sauce. Staff was friendly and accommodating without being over tentative. I highly recommend a visit.

A great late lunch! The service was excellent, we had a great view of the town cove. I ordered the Summer Sangria, and it was delicious. My husband had a cup of chowder, and declared it very good. He also had the fish and chips, and said the fish was very tender. I had the vegetable quesadilla, filled with corn, black beans and other good things. We shared the really interesting blueberry brulee cheesecake. A great combination of flavors. This restaurant was a very pleasant surprise.

My family and I had dinner at the outdoor restaurant. My kids were hesitant at first as it didn't look like your typical restaurant. We were seated relatively quickly. The service was friendly and efficient. The food was excellent with a terrific view.

I had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Inn. Great location that served as my hub for my Cape adventures, beautiful view of the cove on the back deck, and a casual comfortable vibe. Very relaxed and welcoming, like I was staying at a friend's house...really big house. Definitely would stay there again.

This was a great surprise! Google reviews didnt do this place justice! Staff were extremely friendly, our waitress was Elsa, and the food was stellar! We had we Thai Mussels which was a creamy and spicy surprise, and the Mushroom Ravioli was excellent. Not swimming in sauce but had a great earthy and salty flavor. Wine was a great price, maybe 7 out of 10. Would definitely visit again!

Awesome dinner! The frozen drinks were great and all of the food we ordered was amazing...especially the fried calamari. Can't stop thinking about that! Service and view were also great. We'll be back for sure!

We have had a dinner there and everything was very good. We also had the Sunday brunch and it was excellent. Both meals cooked perfect and was served hot. Will return again. We met the owner and she was extremely delightful. We also enjoyed the quaint atmosphere and the view overlooking the water was relaxing and beautiful.

The service was stellar and extremely accommodating. Our waitress, Megan, was wonderful. We walked in moments before closing, however Megan never made us feel as if we were an inconvenience and ensure our experience was top notch. Pleased we decided to go here for late dinner.

Absolutely wonderful. If your looking for a cookie cutter hotel this is not for you but if your looking for a once in a life time experience this is the place. You feel like you are part of his family and he treats you as such. We will be back and this is the place we will stay. Thank you for the great experience!

Went for the first time for dinner. Cute and quaint family run inn/restaurant. Dinner and views were lovely. Husband loved his lobster roll (lots of lobster and little mayo just the way he likes), and our 14 month old had a nice break from dinner playing in the adorable kids area complete with books, cars and a sweet little rocking chair. Friendly staff.

Good food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere and pretty views of Orleans Cove. We had a party of 7, showed up later in the evening and our waitress was wonderful. It was a great time.
