Excellent character dinner, food was great, the wait staff took great care of us. We only got three pictures with the characters compared to others that had at least triple the pictures.

Cafe 4 is a good place to get a quick lunch at Universal. I ate the chicken parm combo sandwich, which came with a side Caesar salad. Both tasted pretty good. Their ordering system is a bit confusing though because you have to send the requests through the app instead of ordering to an actual person

The atmosphere there is just bland like any other place you go. The Chicken Alfredo has very little taste to it and very bland. Of course, they don't offer little packets of salt and pepper readily available. Eater beware. The staff was friendly though.
We did the dinnertime Character Dining at cafe 4 with the Marvel characters. Having done a bunch of character dining experiences at Disney, this one at Universal absolutely blew them out of the water. Cafe in an amusement park. You can order via the app and have your food delivered to you. It was controlled/metered access so no mad scramble to find a seat and it was air conditioned. Nice break to the day.
