Checkers

I'm an Uber driver and I had a rider wanted to go to the Orlando airport. I wanted to get something to eat but I didn't know who would be open in the area. I saw Checkers and decided to go there. I was so glad that I did. The whole staff was professional, amazing, sweet, and friendly. Usually when you order food at 3 or 4:00 in the morning people are kind of tired and not their best. That was far from the case with these guys. Even with the time change taking effect they were still bright-eyed and bushy-tailed. The food was fresh and delicious. Thanks for making my night and my long drive home to Jacksonville. 💕 Go Stitch lol 😆 😘

The only reason I'm rating this place 5 stars is because of the tremendous effort of the employees on staff. Whoever is responsible for making decisions in this place is doing a terrible job. Only 2 people working at lunch time. The poor manager on the register is desperately trying to keep the order times down, even though they are drastically understaffed. He explained that his boss wouldn't care about the excuse, he'd just get reprimanded. Mind you, they have a newish app that doesn't work very well, so he silently suffered while I'm trying to figure out how to redeem a reward. Poor guy was freaking out while trying not to give me a hard time. He was doing 4 things at once. Excellent employees, bad ownership/upper management.

The best thing about this trip was the guy who took our order and then delivered our food. He was awesome. Witty, funny and I could understand him. He got our order wrong, or the cook did, but the food was great, anyway. Instead of a fish sandwich, I ended up with a spicy chicken which I cannot eat. So my husband ate that and I ate his burger. Oh well, accidents happen and the entertainment was well worth the change of menu.
