Wetzel's Pretzels

The smell of this place is addicting. Usually it’s too busy that I skip it but tonight I decided to give it a try. It is really pricey and you don’t see the prices until you get to the register. They weren’t able to take anything but cash. Thankfully the lady waiting in front of us gave us the heads up. I saw a coupon for $1 off the choco churro bitz so decided to try it along with a hot dog. They were good overall, but it’s just pretzel pieces dipped in cinnamon and sugar with chocolate drizzled over it. The pretzel dough wasn’t cooked on the hot dog. I waited to get a receipt to make sure the cashier put in the coupon but never got it. I told him I never got the receipt and the menu says my order is free if I don’t get the receipt. They talked in the back a bit but eventually gave me my money back. I did feel bad since I didn’t want to get the cashier in trouble, but they did deliver on their promise. I might come back and try the mini dogs next time and hope the dough is cooked since they’re smaller.

We really enjoyed our pretzels: pepperoni and original. They were fresh and tasty. The location is spot on. Close to the stage so we sat down and ate our snacks, while enjoying a concert. The only downside is how expensive it was. We payed almost 20 dollars for 2 pretzels. We wanted to try a third one to share but it was a bit way out of our budget. Overall, at least I have ticked off that place on my bucket list.

Pretzel tasted great. The strawberry lemonade (non-frozen) was an excellent thirst quencher. I knocked off 1-star because the line was too long. They need a better way to get the line moving. Also, it was difficult to hear the staff when placing the order. They should have used a microphone/speaker system like the fast food restaurants.

I live in central Pennsylvania so I’ve never had the chance to try Wetzel’s Pretzels before, I’ve heard a lot of good things, so I decided to try to find out, and I’m sure glad I did! These pretzels were amazing, they were nice and buttery, chewy, and we’ll salted, making it taste like a homemade pretzel instead of something from a big chain. These pretzels were much better than Auntie Anne’s, I just wished they had one near me!
