Red Lobster

Updated. Red lobster took care of our problem. Through coustomer service. We will go back. Again. !Our whole dining experience took us two hours. We waited almost an hour for our food for four people. Refills for drinks were terribly slow, when we finally got the food- it was dried out and clearly waiting under a heat lamp. Asked for extra sauce and didn’t receive it, when I complained about the dried out shrimp linguini it came out piping hot (which basically proves it was under a heat lamp the first time). Got the endless shrimp and it took twenty mins in between each refill. And the plates were never taken away, we were drowning in plates and had nowhere to put them. Waiter had no sense of urgency whatsoever and saw him standing around. Nobody looked like they had a clue what they were doing. For $100 to eat here we would definitely expect a much different experience.

I know all the Red Lobster reviews are up and down. However, I can say my last two experiences at two different Red Lobsters have been good. This time, we visited Red Lobster at Waterford Lakes for Thanksgiving. We all enjoyed our food. We also were able to use the discount on the app and our Veterans' rewards meals. It is nice to be able to go out on Thanksgiving and not be charged $50 per person first they're about. Isabella was our server, and she was excellent. She had a pleasant attitude despite other patrons not being the most happy customers. My feelings are that these people have to work on Thanksgiving, which I had to do in the past, and it's no fun. Always be kind. I even told the other waitress how she was doing it for an excellent job with some difficult customers. Thanksgiving was all about blessings, and we were blessed. We had good food, a good server, and plenty of room to enjoy ourselves in a nice restaurant.

Update - We ate at this restaurant again on 11/26/2023 & had a completely different experience. The service was excellent. The food came out quickly despite the restaurant being pretty busy. Our server was pleasant & the tea was good. *************************** The food is typical Red Lobster. Like most Red Lobsters, the shrimp is pretty good. The service at this particular restaurant is terrible. They seem disorganized. And the tea at this restaurant taste like it is made with soapy water. And when I made the server aware she said she would make fresh tea. She then returned to the table and said the manager told her that since nobody else had complained, she could not make fresh tea. I asked for water. I still had to pay for the tea even though I did not drink it. The service at the Red Lobster on East Colonial Drive is much better and the tea doesn't taste like it was made with soapy water.

One of the best chain restaurants. It's a great atmosphere, and they have kind employees. They have complimentary biscuits which is always hot and fresh, plus they have a wide and great beverage selection. Even though I don't like seafood too much, I would still go here regularly due to the fact that they have so many other great options. They also have a kids menu, which is cool too. 10/10, would recommend! 👍

Great food and service! The restaurant atmosphere is very welcoming. We sat at the bar and had a very enjoyable time. I was surprised to see that this location has drink specials too. The food was fresh and delicious, and the service was on point. This is definitely one of the better locations. We will definitely visit again.

I had a great visit tonight! Came in around 7:30pm didn’t have to wait too long I got the endless shrimp it was great. The manager came around and checked on us we told him the dine in was great and would definitely visit again. We observed him helping everywhere! Waterford has a kitchen where you can see the cooks he was cooking on the line, he was behind the bar making drinks and he was also helping the servers buss their tables as well. I work in the food industry and that’s exactly what I would expect from management Rodney did a great job tonight!

We had an amazing experience here. Came first thing Saturday morning and the restaurant was empty. There were half price apps at the bar so that’s where we sat. Everything was delicious. We shared 2 baskets of biscuits, the lobster dip, loaded crab fries, fried clams, and the 3 choice shrimp entree with brussels. We will definitely be back.
