Review Taverna Yamas - Orlando

My cousin and I went here because we look hookah! I had never been to a lounge like this before and it was FANTASTIC! the service was so great and the manager was very friendly and generous. We sat in our book for about 2.5 hours at least! We had consistent service and our hookah was delicious! I will probably be at this place every week! Oh and it was really affordable! With a kind tip it was only $20!

Very bad restaurant. Food tastes like it came from microwave and very bad service. Do not recommend going here because there are more to see in Orlando than this garbage. The prices are outrageous for what you get which is very small portions of microwaved food. Price does not correlate with taste and portion. Also, gratetuity was forced to up to 20%.

I have to rate this a one, so that it still has more stars than the staff have brain cells between them. Had to wander in to the restaurant from the outside seating area to find ANYBODY on two occasions - to order food and to pay the bill. Of course on the latter occasion the only waiter was smoking a shisha pipe in the staff area. The soccer was on, and even Manchester United easing a 4-0 victory couldn't sweeten the fact that the owner decided to seat himself virtually at our table while we were having our mains so he had company to pass his ingenious commentary on to. I use the word ingenious sarcastically, in reality I can see why sky sports haven't snatched up his wise words. Oh yeah, and the food was pish.

The food its really good and very flavourful. Very attentive staff!

When you walk into a restaurant and nobody greets you, and you walk up to the general manager who tells you to go back and sit down and wait... 10 minutes later... I can't say anything about the food, but I can assure you the hospitality is horrible. I'll give them a year before they're out of business with that kind of disrespect to potential customers.

I went in tonight craving some classic Mediterranean food like my Greek grandmother makes. I didn't want to dine in so i asked to take the food Togo. Let me start off by saying when i pulled up to look at the menu a young woman immediately came outside, ushering me in to look at the full menu which was not the same menu they had posted outside (apparently that is the lunch menu). Then i came inside and was told to sit on the couch and wait for a server to come by to order my food. When the server did come by he was nice but i felt very rushed to make my choices and the prices in the menu i had did not match the ones outside. He gave me the chicken gyro for the lunch price, assuring me that i would get the lemon potatoes with it and that it would only take 10 minutes. Fifteen minutes later he brought me a coke while i waited. Shortly after that a police officer arrived that was obviously friends with the owners who came out to talk to the officer in the middle of the entrance way, making me feel very uncomfortable as they ignored me and had a ten minute long conversation. My food still was not out when the police officer left and i waited yet another 10 minutes for my food. not once did i receive an update or an apology. The check came and soon the waiter brought my food. When i got into the car the only warm thing i had was the spanikopita i ordered. The gyro did not come with the potatoes, only a Greek salad and the chicken inside the gyro was at best body temp. I am so disappointed. I really wanted it to be good but it was barely palatable with the temperatures being out of whack and the tzasiki had no flavor. So sad. I don't ever plan on coming here again. Ill pay the extra $10 to park at pointe orlando and go to Taverna Opa instead. P.S. when i was leaving the patio was blaring Nikki Minaj's "Bees in the trap" which i found really odd.
