The Woods

Although on the main street it feels like a hidden speakeasy as you go up the stairs to a bar/lounge area. The staff were lovely and the drinks were strong! Music was nostalgic and for the right crowd. We ordered the 3 Rim Repo (purple) and the Somewhere in Tulum (gold). I'd like to come here on a busy night and enjoy the vibe of the place.

I have been a The Woods customer for over five years. They have recently come under new ownership. I must admit that the place is now very well decorated, and the bar area is more organized than before. At about 8:30 PM on Saturday, I had two well-crafted Old Forester - Old Fashioned - $8 each. Bartender - Rachel was great and knows her craft well. The bar started quiet and relaxing, with maybe only six people. About 20 minutes later, a group of guys showed up, and the bar below (which I think is the same owner) was testing their sound system, so the bar went from quiet to loud, therefore the four stars vs five stars for Atmosphere. There was only one negative review item, which moved the Woods down the list of bar locations I would patronize in Downtown Orlando - I tend to tip between 15% to 40% depending on the service, and rarely do I tip at the 15% level. The Woods now has an "Automated Service Fee Gratuity “ - 20%. I tipped $3 additional but was told I could not "reduce the amount.” Was glad that the bartender also told me "Gratuity" was included. I understand the reason for Auto Gratuity for groups of people or maybe during Happy Hour, but I also believe that if a bartender pours me one $4 - $6 beer, a $1 tip is good, or that poor overall service should get my lowest tip %. What other Downtown Orlando Bars have implemented "Automatic Service Fee Gratuity"? If not for the gratuity issue, would have given The Woods - 5 stars for this review.

When I’m down there’s only one place that can get me going, and that’s the Woods Orlando. Once you walk up those stairs you’re in the mood because of the sexy jungle tree house ambience. I’ll take an espresso tini or 3 hehe. The manager nick (has tattoos) made me put my shirt back on but I now understand it’s a classy joint. 10/10 would recommend.

Atmosphere is beautiful, bartenders are top notch, craft cocktail was delish I got a dark and stormy. They also had table top board game things which was fun. Music was beautiful. Such a relaxing, kickback space with quality drinks and staff, but there are stairs you have to walk up not sure if there was an elevator

Super cool place, my friend and I happened to come across it after a concert at the Amway. It was a Sunday and they were getting ready to close at midnight but the bartenders made us feel very welcome and not at all rushed. I had their Woods old fashioned & my friend had a Cosmo. Super delicious, fresh drinks, very chill vibes. Love the decor and atmosphere, very laid back and nothing crazy or loud. Perfect place to relax. Wish I remembered the bartenders names, two guys, thank you for a great time!

This place had a really cozy vibe to it. I came here with my friend after a long photoshoot and it was definitely the right choice. Our bartender was very kind and helped us right away. I had ordered cheese curds and they came out fairly quickly, and ofcourse they tasted great as well. It was a great compliment to the Snowflake Whispers cocktail that I ordered. I like drinks on the sweeter side so If you like sweet cocktails I definitely recommend Snowflake Whispers, it's pretty refreshing! Overall I had a great experience and I'm definitely coming back with more friends.

Snowflake Whispers was incredibly well balanced. I could drink that again and again for $10. Happy hour is 25% from 5-8 pm. We were promptly greeted and served a glass of water. The staff frequently check in to make sure we were satisfied. The staff was burning incense. The place REEKED. If you are sensitive to smell this is not your bar.
