Review Claddagh Cottage Irish Pub - Orlando

Chris Hanes
Authentic Irish fare in a fun atmosphere - give the pasty a try! My daughter and I stopped in for dinner on a Wednesday night in May of 2023. There was a fun, laid back atmosphere and the food was tasty, though a little pricey ($16.99 each for the entrees in my pictures). Drink prices seemed to be more in line but we did not partake this time around. This is definitely a spot for you if you're looking for a pint after work or a few beers with friends!

Awesome pub, people, music and food. All enjoyed their meals & pints. Service includes multiple servers and extremely attentive in spite of a packed house. Band (with the owner on banjo) were tight and authentic. Potato and leeks soup, with the real deal brown bread is pictured.

This is a great place to dine and drink at if you want the feel of an Irish pub. They feature authentic Irish pub cuisine and beverages. The food was delicious and the service we received was top notch. Even the local regulars were friendly. They offer plenty of seating at the tablez or the bar. There even is seating outside for those that enjoy al fresco. We will definitely have to stop here again when we are in this part of town.

Claddagh is the real deal. Makes me feel like I'm back in Galway. Same smells. Good food. Atmosphere. A 1-to-1 import. There are a few touristy type places in Orlando that try to be legit, but they fall way short of Claddagh. If you're craving a pie or a pint or want to hear some authentic Irish music. Check it out.

My wife and I had a wonderful first time experience here. The food was warm and obviously prepared with care. It all tasted fantastic. Dan (I think) served us exceptionally. He was friendly. This place doesn’t rush you; it is welcoming, very laidback, and cozy…how a proper Irish Pub is supposed to be.

Love the Irish Atmosphere, Irish Fare, and Irish Beer. They have live music regularly and the food is delicious. If you are craving potato leek soup or a pie, you found the right place

Great real pub, proper choice of beers in pint glasses, tasty food and top rate service. If you haven’t been then you should go.

Great Irish Bar and atmosphere. Bartenders and owner all amazing. Often have live music. Food excellent and made in house. Dart boards and not too many TV's around (a plus to the atmosphere).

Truly a hidden gem! I came here the day before St. Patrick's Day and was expecting the longest wait times but I was able to find a table in the back almost immediately. I am not sure how it works all the time but when I went, you had to seat yourself and then the bartender would make their way over to you to take your order. We had to wait a little while for service as there was only one bartender and one person handling the tables. I didn't mind the wait because at least we immediately were able to sit down. I started off with the Kilkenny Irish Cream Ale. I am not the biggest beer drinker but this went down very smooth. Despite its name, it doesn't have any "cream" in it but is a red ale that has been nitrogenated to give it a more creamy texture. I definitely recommend trying this one. It is important to note that this establishment does not have a liquor license and only serves beer and wine so don't come in expecting Irish Car Bombs and Picklebacks. Next, I had the potato leek soup, which did not disappoint. My sister devoured hers and then some of mine while I wasn't looking. For the main course I had the steak and mushroom pie. For starters, this was the best Irish pie I've ever had. The crust was flaky and golden brown with tons of flavor in each bite. The filling had tender and juicy steak with the most savory gravy inside. I will say the steak "bites" are quite large so you may need to cut them down a bit but it's worth it. My sister had the vegetarian pasty which I had a bite of and my goodness it was delicious. It is quite rare to find delicious vegetarian options in an Irish Pub but this place truly has outdone itself. Unfortunately, we did not have enough room for desert but next time I'll wear my stretchy pants to give it a try! Additionally, the service was attentive given how busy it was. I will definitely be coming back soon.

Love the atmosphere, music, everything. Just FYI, they only serve beer, wine, and food. I wish they had whiskey, as I don't typically drink much beer, but I understand if they don't want people too rowdy or don't want to pay for the more expensive liquor license. Service seemed to be "team service" which can be good, but a simple, "anyone need anything?" A little more often would've been nice. I am in hospitality myself, and have worked bars who ran this way. I understand not wanting to bother people too much, but a short, "everyone cool?", a little more often would be my only suggestion.

Amazing! truly Irish pub experience, best hospitality Scott and Vicky), best food (we're talking gourmet Justin Murphy), best music (sessions and gigs) and the finest pint of Guinness this side of the Liffey! Thanks for letting me sit in on things last night, can't wait to come back.

Even something that is already great can become something better, as evidenced by the "new" Claddagh Cottage Pub location. The renovated space retains all of the charm of the old pub, with more room, more tables and a longer bar. Great service, everyone is so friendly and professional and the food is delicious! Definitely the best Guinness pour in town, too...head there on a music night for sure, but any night you'll find friends and great fare. So worth the wait!

The new digs were reminiscent of the old pub but freshened up, which was nice. Of course, the Guinness pints were perfect, as expected. And the cottage pie was better than I remember from the old location....butter wafting up as the dish was placed in front of me by our lovely server, Patrick. Darren welcomed us at the door with a great smile. We loved this pub when it was off the Curry Ford/Conway corner, but even more so now in the new building all cleaned up. We will absolutely make this our new/old neighborhood hang. This is a perfect example of how you reinvent the old without taking away all the charm and authenticity people have grown to love over the decades. Job well done! Cheers!

In most every way, the new site is an improvement over the previous location. Bigger parking lot, bigger interior space, and it's a standalone structure so you're not competing against other businesses for parking spaces. Good service, a good selection of beer and wine, and a more spacious interior with a dedicated stage for live music. You've got TVs strategically placed for those who want to just watch sporting events, as well as three dart boards and a darts league. I'd give the place four and a half stars if FB would let me. The only reason I won't give it five stars is because I'd like to see a bit more variety in the beer selection, but they're a neighborhood pub, not a craft beer bar, so they stock what they can reliably sell. I'd like to see more lighting in the rear parking lot besides the a bit motion activated lights on the rear of the building, but those are doing a good job for now.

Wow! Couldn’t be happier with our experience at the new and improved Claddagh Cottage. Best Irish food I’ve had in Orlando hands down. We have a soy allergy and found out that they use olive oil for the pans, and their pie dough is made with butter, we were very excited to add them to our approved eats list! Staff was efficient and friendly, and the live music was great

Popped in last night, a Wednesday, with my parents who were over from England. The bar looked fantastic and the staff were excellent. The neighborhood atmosphere was fabulous and we were treated to some incredible food. The pastry on the pies and pasties deserve a special mentions as they were lovely. Live music topped off a great night.

Loved the old location, but now that it’s even closer to my house, it’s even better!! Great food, great atmosphere, great staff, and the best Killkenny in town!!

This was our first time there. They are now our local Irish Pub. I had the Potato Leek Soup and Brown Bread. Wonderful! And my husband had the Chicken Pastie (I forget its official name). He enjoyed his meal as well and I tried a bite. Very good as well. Plus our favorite server from another pub is now there, Jay, and it is always good to see him.

Best part is of course the bi-weekly live music every Wednesday with all the best local players. They have other musicians in too. Good food, friendly people, good beer, I love this place.

Best steak and mushroom pie I've had anywhere. With a very comfortable, home pub feel and informal irish music meetups regularly.
Sonya Gruman
Delicious food and Great service. Would recommend and will be coming back.

Welcome back Claddagh! It’s been too long but you’ve made it well worth the wait. Walked in and immediately felt like Home again.

Congratulations on the grand reopening! Our visit was fun and cozy—hanging with the local crowd. The staff was warm and welcoming. We’ll be back.

Your neighborhood Irish bar and food. Good and friendly conversation and amazing food and beverage.

Friendly bartenders, great beer and food. I will be back.

The most authentic Irish pub with the best trad music every other Wednesday. The meat pies are to die for!
