What a wonderful gem of a place tucked just off the main road. The food is amazing! Mater paneer, lamb madras, garlic naan and veg samosas cooked to perfection and eloquently served. Definitely get the garlic naan - best I've had! Service is top notch with lovely people attending to the meal. I wish I lived in Orlando, I'd make it a weekly staple to visit!
Found this little gem tucked away on international drive next to oshucks karaoke bar. Was greeted by a lovely lady and felt very welcome.
The food was absolutely delicious!!
The drinks were a good price.
The staff were so friendly!
5 star 🌟
💯% recommend this place!! 😍The most authentic Indian food and drinks you will ever enjoy! The people working were very friendly and happy to talk about how uniquely awesome each spice and dish etc were. The atmosphere was extremely peaceful. Just a beautiful experience overall for a perfect date and to over indulge. We have to take our 2 year old toddler with us and they made her so happy and feel special too! We are for sure happy to go back and eat way too much deliciousness♥️!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I first visited New Punjab Indian restaurant 33 years ago when my parents took me on vacation as a child. Now I got the chance to take my family to experience authentic Punjabi cuisine. The food is exquisite and tastes of Indian home soul food, staff were like family and atmosphere is like home. Will definitely recommend 👍
The food is really good.
We have been in town for a short vacation, tried multiple Indian restaurants, this restaurant is probably the one we will be going back to. Staff is very friendly, and well serving as well. The quality of food is similar to the taste of food from Punjab. There is difference in food taste from Delhi and Punjab. This is more of Punjab.
Food is really tasty!!!
I found out this restaurant on Google map in afternoon, when most of Indian restaurants were about to closed or had closed. From the review, I didn’t expect the food would be that good. But when I came and tried the food here, I was soooo surprised! The food is really really good! I would highly recommend people come and give it a try!
Friendly owners! They recommended delicious Indian food to us! Chicken malasa is my favorite! Naan is freshly baked and yummy!
Traveling from New York. First time trying Indian food. I went two nights in a row and will make sure this is my last stop before I go home tomorrow. The food was amazing. Service was amazing. The atmosphere was great. 10/10 this will be a restaurant I never forget. I loved it.
Absolutely authentic and delicious! I found an article about this gem in a Trip Advisor online search. We decided to visit here and try it out . Definitely was worth the drive. The owners are very friendly and make you feel at home. The place was clean and our entire meal was so good. The spices and flavors are so different from American cuisine. We will go back and highly recommend.
Second review at the bottom.
First visit - Outstanding! Our new favorite Orlando restaurant (of any type)! Out of all the Indian cuisine options, we chose here, based upon the reviews, and they delivered!
Service: Let me start of by saying I've never had a restaurant go above and beyond like this. 2 years ago I had an Indian puffed pastry appetizer in OKC, that I've been searching for since, but didn't know the name. I showed our waitress a picture I had taken and the owner came over to look. "Oh, I know what this is. We don't have this on the menu, but I'll make it for you!", and she hurried off to the kitchen. 5 mins later I had exactly what I remembered, only better (and that's saying alot". (Dahi Puri Chaat)
The entire staff gives a " You're a special guest in our home vibe". You almost want to give them a hug on the way out 😁. Like coming home from being overseas and having dinner with your mom, dad and favorite aunt!
Dining Room: The restaurant atmosphere has a classy Indian theme, enjoyable soft hand-drum music, and is kept up (fresh and clean).
The Food: Everything had layers of flavor. Savory seasoned base, Hints of sweetness, undertones of heat (prepared to the level of heat you want).
Chef's Speciality (Methi Malai Chicken) - It's similar to a Tika Masala, with more flavor all around, especially fenu greek! We heard a few other patrons order this as well! We'll be having this again.
Lamb Saag - large chunks of tender lamb in a thick spinach sauce, what I'd call a spinach pesto to give it visualization. Again there's a layering of flavors. An instant flavor when you bite into it, a different flavor works through as you process it, and a third lingering flavor. It'd be a disservice to try and describe or compare it to anything else I've had (Thai, Korean, Japanese). I would definitely order this again, if it weren't for wanting to try everything else on the menu.
Garlic Naan - I've had a lot of naan breads and this was the lightest by far! Lightly crispy on the edges, soft throughout!
Onion Kulcha Naan - Thick, yet soft naan bread filled with onion chunks and diced cilantro. Definitely the favorite of the 2 naans we had!
Rasmalai (Dessert) - paneer cheese with a sweet, floral tone (maybe cardamom & rose water). Topped with diced pistachios. Light and enjoyable even after eating too much. It's quite different than an American's idea of dessert, so keep that in mind.
If you love Indian Food, you'll love New Punjab. If you've never had Indian Food, you'll love it after eating here!
SECOND VISIT - Just as wonderful as the first. The owners remember us and made me 2 orders of my favorite appetizer Dahi Puri Chaat.
This visit we order Lamb Rogan Josh (my new favorite), Methi Malai Chicken, and Chicken Bhuna (spicy). 2 orders Onion Kulcha.. Everything was exceptional as expected..
