We were visiting Orlando for a Tradeshow, so happy to found this gem while getting something from Traders Joe , everyone should try this beautiful restaurant, they were so kind to help us find a table without reservation , it was packed on Wednesday night. Food is just delicious, everything is amazing from the service, presentation, taste . We will come back again . Thank you very much!

Great place for a romantic meal, celebration or even a business dinner. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable in the foods as well as variety of wines. Our meal was great and the service was exceptional. Highly recommend stopping here. We will be back.

This restaurant is an absolute gem. The contemporary yet warm design creates the perfect ambiance. The seasonal menu is a culinary delight, offering wood-grilled meats, fresh seafood, wood-fired copper oven pizzas, and an extensive selection of wines, spirits, local craft beers, and artisanal cocktails. The service was outstanding; the chef even greeted us personally and sent us a delightful tasting. We had a fantastic time. We'll definitely be returning in December 2023. Highly recommended

Without hesitation one of the most satisfying experiences I’ve ever had- coming from a world traveler’s palate! The first experience I had here was excellent, but it was the times following that sold me to becoming a regular. The consistently delightful food, the indulgent new specials, the variety of the menu- the fact that somehow some of the vegetarian dishes seem to even outshine classics- I cannot recommend slate enough. I look forward to many more meals at this establishment and I root for their success, thank you slate for providing the community such delicious food and welcoming hospitality.

Slate is a classy, intimate restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere, complete with gas lanterns. I’ve been there 10+ times. They have fantastic cocktails and a small rotating menu of good food and wood fired pizza. Their food tends to be elevated and usually very flavorful. They’re on the verge of 5-star in my book but you shouldn’t be disappointed here and I will definitely return. I would recommend reservations.

Jewel of a restaurant with *excellent* waitstaff and high-quality food ingredients: especially the most-affordable wood-fired pizza. We enjoyed both the pulled pork pizza and the special pizza: a slightly tough but flavorful teriyaki chicken with (surprise!) shredded carrot and cheese pizza. Both pizzas were super flavorful — but no more so than the delicious grilled romaine salad.
Take home: Excellent dining experience for high-end pizza and ambiance. Looking forward to coming back!

Such a great experience, in Orlando it's always fun to find the unique restaurants with delicious food and good service. Check out happy hour if you're around, otherwise make a reservation for dinner. We tried everything from crab cakes to steak to lamb and we loved everything.

Took my fiance here for his birthday. Absolutely fantastic!!! Service phenomenal!! Food phenomenal!! Mushroom popovers were amazing! I had the lamb it was the best lamb I have ever eaten. The dessert was a peanut butter and cherry sponge cake thing it sounds/tastes better than I am describing. Will come back!!
(Not sure if allergy friendly I took a Benadryl to have the popovers. They are a scratch kitchen though)

A nice steakhouse experience. Something that is different from all the chain restaurants that Orlando has to offer. The food is was very good, and offered unique tastes compared to than most places. I'll be back soon.

Came here for magical dining month. We got a an appetizer, main plate and a dessert.
This is my first time at slate so I’m not sure what the serving portions are on regular times but the magical dinning month servings were okish. The bread pudding servings were ridiculously small. Which is sad because we love trying bread puddings.
The chocolate cheesecake serving was better.
So my review is
8/10 on the hush puppies (they needed more sauce)
8/10 on the prime rib (medium steak was nice and red but a bit dry)
Not a fan of chocolate but the chocolate cheesecake was really good. My wife’s bread pudding was also really good (but small serving)
They seemed a bit busy but the service was excellent! food took a while to come out.. but we got two bottles of bubbles so that keeps us entertained.
I say 4 stars. We might come back and try regular portions
