Review Riverside Mill Food Court - Orlando

John Haddock
This is the place for those looking for a quick place to eat in the Port Orleans Riverside Resort. They offer counter service that is reasonably priced and have a good selection of food and drinks available. They also have food for those with special dietary requirements. Make sure you let the servers know about this so they will be able to help you find a selection of food to eat. This restaurant continues the boat building theme of the rest of the connecting buildings. There is a large paddlewheel connected to the end of the building that drives a huge shaft inside the building.

This is a very nice food court with food that pleased the whole family. We had an evening meal here and then breakfast on the day we checked out. The kid's meals are the best value on the menu board. It's one of the most reasonably priced values for food anywhere in Disney World. The chicken and pasta kid's meals were the best, but the kids also liked the meatball you can get instead of chicken. For breakfast, again the kid's meals are the best value. Bacon and sausage San be substituted for the yogurt that is shown as what comes with the eggs.

The food, desserts and cast are second to none! I always enjoy eating there. They offer a wide variety of options from a slice of pizza or a burger to Salmon. They offer items to meet needs of guests with special needs. I always save room for dessert as again they offer a variety of choices certain to meet what you're wanting right down to blissful decadence!

As a plant based individual I so much appreciate the amazing options for pb food. While I would prefer more salads, I am just content that there are options. Our flight came in late and by the time we picked up our rental and arrived to the resort, we were exhausted and hungry. Perfect hours for before and after park and open late for those we arrive late. Had pb meatloaf and pb mashed potatoes the first night of arrival and wow was it delicious... chickpea salad, and overnight oats. Love the souvenir cup option as well.

Great atmosphere, so quiet and peaceful compared to other stays in the property, not that any has been bad... food was delish, jambalaya spot on.. and the water taxi service to Disney Springs is alone worthy of high praise...go!

I love this food court. It's located inside the Port Orleans - Riverside resort. It's a large area with plenty of space to fit your whole group. They offer everything you need from breakfast to dinner time. It has a small bakery section where you can find healthy sandwiches, cupcakes, and even cappuccinos. We were celebrating a birthday and they had candles and matches to make it perfect. They also have Mickey and Minnie waffles which are always delicious. You can find burgers, chicken tenders, and whole pizzas here to feed your hungry group. There are all types of sodas and even beer to finish off the meal. The best part is that it's very easy to walk here from the pool or the rooms and bring back snacks for everyone.

Best food court ever! There are many restaurants to choose from and there is always many tables available. Use your Disney cup to fill it with soft drinks, coffre or tea. I totally recommend the salads!

Several options and quick service... we just grabbed a couple burgers and a apple blossom

Solid Disney hotel quick serve location. It has many options for typical fast food such as burgers, pasta, pizza. They offer gluten free food as well. We used the mobile app to place our order and it went without a hitch. I like how much seating they have available at this location.

Service is excellent. The staff is truly caring and compassionate. Food quality is good. A little variation in menu throughout the week would be nice. More gluten snacks like glutino pretzels, English muffins and udi's muffins would be nice. Atmosphere is great.

Lovely place to dine in with family and friends. Prices are good.

Great, very useful cafeteria for us in the morning. We found it quick and convenient. The lines were always long for the bakery! The select your own omelet would take a bit longer, but I found it worth the wait. The southern-style biscuits and sausage gravy were a calorie splurge but we enjoyed them. Egg platters were super quick, with French toast, Mickey waffles or biscuits. Steel cut Oatmeal and yogurt parfaits also available. The fridge has not just beverages but also packable snacks like cut fruit, grapes, 3-pack of whole tangerines.

It's a very Kool place to enjoy the view. the food is average and the staff are at times either engaged in convo with colleagues and don't notice you waiting ... or don't seem interested in assisting. Overall my kids are super happy to go to Riverside for our Disney stay and so are we.

Lines can get long especially for the Burger line. However, there is a reason. Bayou Burger--prime rib, fondue cheese, homemade pickles on top is a meat patty. Delicious. Fried okra and fried green tomatoes good as well. Muffalatta sandwich also good. Great desserts. We ate here 3x during our trip. We were not disappointed.

Gumbo needs more rice. Super flavorful. Jambalaya is a bit too spicy, but good.

Decent food court with a good amount of choices. The pizza is the best option IMO for families. It is the most affordable and tastes delicious. My kids tried the pasta and didn't care for it because of the runny flavorless sauce.
Great Beer Now!
When you stay at a Disney Resort, you don’t need to go very far to find food. All of the Disney properties serve food and many of them have multiple restaurants. At Port Orleans Resort, there is one popular place for family dining that is larger than the rest. It’s the Riverside Mill Foodcourt, a cafeteria style eatery.

We stayed at Port Orleans Resort once and rather than make our way off- property to search for dining options, we opted for the convenience of the Riverside Mill Foodcourt. This is a large place and it can hold a large number of people. That is a good thing, as the Port Orleans resort is a large resort with a large number of guests. Tables fill up rapidly, but they also empty quickly so you shouldn’t have trouble finding a place to sit in this self- seating establishment.

Riverside Mill Foodcourt serves American food options. You decide what type of food you want, walk up to that specific counter to place your order, then carry it to your table on a tray. This makes the service faster than in a sit down restaurant and reasonably efficient.

What do they serve at Riverside Mill Foodcourt? Well, you can find a large number of basic food options like burgers, sandwiches, chicken nuggets, pizza, breakfast food in the mornings, kids menu items, salads, pastries and other baked goods, etc. You’re not going to find fancy eats or exotic menu options at Riverside Mill, but this isn’t that type of a restaurant. It is like a cross between a fast food restaurant and a cafeteria, with common food options typical of an American food eatery.

Judging the quality of the food, I found the Bayou Burger a good sandwich overall. Made using prime rib and served on an onion roll, it was pretty good for the price and my side of coleslaw made for a decent meal. My girl went with chicken nuggets and she found them okay, but quick examination showed that they were a little too soft- like they had come out of a microwave. She seemed okay with them regardless.

Riverside Mill Foodcourt is a noisy place. The large number of people and open design makes it impossible to escape the sounds of families talking and laughing. If you prefer fewer distractions when you eat, then I recommend visiting here during the off- peak hours, which means away from the time when breakfast, lunch, and dinner are commonly consumed. An early dinner at, say, 4pm would be a good choice.

Disney is the world’s most popular tourist attraction and the on- site properties are great for those who want to stay as close to the parks as possible and leave the transportation to someone else. Every Disney property has a place to dine and Riverside Mill Foodcourt is a respectable effort overall. The food isn’t anything to rave about, but it is sufficient for the price and it’s the type of food that children will enjoy.

Its a sliding scale from day 1 to day 7. Day 1 its pretty good especially for a food court. The burgers and the chicken nuggets were both good. It gets worse the more times you eat there but that's the reality of a somewhat limited menu day after day. I think its great for 1 or 2 visits, okay for 3 or 4 visits and then your pushing your luck. They kept it clean though and the kids section with the tv and coloring stuff was helpful. Prices are within expectations and probably could have been worse.

It was OK. It was a food court, prices were fine. lineups long for being quiet
It served its purpose.
Side note,, hot tub was disgusting color and filed with kids

The make-your-own-pasta is one of the best quick-service offerings anywhere on property, and is easily enough for two people to share!

Decent lunch and dinner munchie selection... Breakfast is absolutely horrible except the waffles...

Poor selection. For a food court with such nice theming & atmosphere, the food was mediocre. we ended up with a dry burger & chicken sandwich. the pasta available looked completely unappetizing, and the carving station (an interesting choice for a food court) only had a small bit of the end of the turkey and gelatinous side dishes.

Great food court. This is the place to go when your staying at Port Orleans Riverside and you want breakfast or lunch or a very casual dinner with the kids (or without). They have a wide selection of reasonable priced food. We had a delicious breakfast with freshly made omlettes, others got pancakes, scrambled eggs, french toast, muffins ect., it was all good. Also got late night salads after a day in the parks and they were also freshly made, we chose what we wanted in them and they mixed the ingredients right there in front of us. Also if you buy a soda or are on the meal plan and get the soda in the meal plan, they just give you the cup and you can fill it at the machine as much as you like, so no need to buy the expensive refillable cup. That goes for coffee also. There is lots of seating inside and some outside.

At the Riverside Mill, C only got a fruit salad, but I couldn’t resist trying the “Make Your Own Pasta” station. I chose a combination of penne rigate, alfredo and pesto sauces, baby spinach, mushrooms, garlic, and shrimp. It was cooked to order and came out tasting a lot better than my shoddy photo looks.
