Mamak Asian Street Food

Food is always great. Service is generally awesome. But for a 20% tip on an 100 dollar tab, Allison was the most mid server I’ve ever had. I tipped her when she brought the check out. Then she took the money, didn’t give me a pen to sign the receipt, and went and hid behind the counter with 4 other servers and didn’t say goodbye. Wish my money could have went straight to the kitchen .

Only give it a 4 as the general demeanor of the servers were like "we really don't want to be here." We were semi-lucky as the manager or supervisor was kinda our server, but she was busy doing all the other functions she had to do. Food was great, but one goes to a sit down restaurant for the service. Will we go back, yes - but with a lower level of expectations.

Let's talk about Mamak! You would imagine going to the same place 2 times in one day, again the next day and again 2 days later will get a little less exciting. Well, I have and you would be wrong. This place is amazing. I have not had one bad experience! Food comes out fairly quick, servers are attentive, food is always delicious. I have no complaints. Parking can be a hit or miss here, so keep that in mind. Other than that have a good time!

Atmosphere is very nice. They offer really great vegan and vegetarian options. The service was really well done although sometimes they didn’t know where the order went so it took some tries to get our food. Perhaps they could definitely create a streamline or a more efficient process. I had a vegetable curry with rice and the roti canai. The flavors were really good and I would definitely recommend it. I wish the roti canai came with more roti. I have cooked this brand of roti before and I know they can definitely give a couple more pieces. I was kind of sad when it only came with one piece per order

😋HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT FOR STREET FOOD LOVERS! We stumbled across this place by accident when we were in the area. The food was very delicious but my char kway teow was a little too salty. Sadly, the roasted duck baos we ordered barely had any duck or hoisin sauce in them! The nasi goreng indonesia was not as spicy as the waitress warned us but all our dishes came out hot and fresh! There are many menu options to choose from and we will definitely be back to try the noodle soups and other tapas. The waitress was really sweet and attentive to our needs!

Friends and I got multiple dishes to try for delivery. There were some standout dishes like the Cold Sesame Noodles, Roti Canai, Wontons in Spicy Sauce, and Ginger & Scallion Fish, but there were also some mediocre dishes. Overall, menu is a little different, but this is better than HawkersThe prices were a little high for the portion size, but I do like the I'd get delivery from here again when the craving hits. Edit: Came here Fri night to dine in. Food is the same as I remember, so I like the consistency. No wait later at night on Fri either. Service was friendly, didn't wait long for food.

Mamak Asian Street Food was fantastic! The service was great and the food was served pretty quickly from when we finally decided to order. Seating options were more than enough, and the ambiance was super chill. Our server was patient and she had a wonderful personality, giving us the space we needed to decide on our meal. We ordered the chicken lo mein, the summer rolls, the Malaysian Coconut Kari, and for dessert the coconut roti w/the ice cream (so good!). The dishes weren't huge but the portions were just right. There were two of us and we shared everything with just a bit left over to bring home. Each dish was fresh and super flavorful. It's definitely one we'll visit again and definitely a must try. Parking in the area can get a little crazy but there's always a spot somewhere. I'd recommend it for sure!
