A great, now quick service, restaurant with plenty of bbq options available. I can highly recommend the smokehouse pizza, with pepperoni, sausage, and plenty of brisket. For desert the pb&j cupcake was great, not overly sweet and plenty of pb taste. My only complaint would be the nutter butter on top was soggy.

Trail's End has been converted to quick service and grab and go eatery. Pizza, hot and cold grab and go items like whole chickens and sides. There's also a mobile order menu with even more options like family meals. I recommend the fried chicken, it's been a staple here for years.

Family Style breakfast. Everyone was SO NICE. Also very attentive to some gluten allergies at our table. My favorite part of the meal was the cheesy potatoes…after the Mickey shaped waffles of course ☺️

After many years celebrating birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions, today we came to say goodbye to Trails End. This restaurant started as a buffet with a variety of options and a delicious bread pudding as one of dessert options. After Covid became Family Style, but the food continued been very tasteful. We will definitely miss this place✨

Ordered a pizza and a sandwich to go. The to go selection is better than our last visit, it looked like it has turned into counter service for sit down meals which is disappointing for a campground/ resort that the average nightly cost is $200+. For Disney it was not up to what I would expect. Food was good, fresh and staff was great
Hopefully in the future it changes.

For the price it’s not a bad place to eat. The rolls they bring out with the strawberry butter are delicious. However the rest of the food is just average. The eggs were powdered and not good. Everything tasted like it was from a box or something you get at your local store and unfreeze.
You do get to eat as much as you want and the coffee/juice/drinks are all included in the price.
The service was slow and we finally just had to ask the server to leave us a pot of coffee because it was taking so long to get refills. The cups are small and you can drink the whole thing in a few drinks.
The atmosphere is fun. It’s what you would expect from a campground. Simple and rustic. You even have to leave and go outside for the bathrooms.
Overall though, the price reflects what you get. It’s hard to find anywhere that offers that much food for so cheap at Disney property. I would go back if I was just looking for something simple and cheap.
* a note for people not staying at the campground. You have to take a bus to the Settlement from the main parking area. Any of the buses not going to Magic Kingdom will get you there. It adds about 15 minutes to your time so make sure you account for that when booking your reservation time. We almost missed ours.

Food was good, not Texas brisket, Carolina pulled pork or Nashville dry rub smoked chicken but good. Sides where very good and fresh. Salad was fresh and vinegrette dressing was very nice and lite. Over all its not cheap as it is one price.. but for Disney was not outrageous and is all you care to eat and as usual was very catering (as usual) to our grandson's food allergies.

The food (since this has changed from a buffet to quick service) was initially thought to be a down grade but I was pleasantly surprised it was great. My wife and I ordered the ribs and chicken family meal with Mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. We wanted to order at the register but we were informed this was a mobile order only... not sure why but ok. It came out in a to-go bag and staged at a holding area. The plates were staged around a corner from the bin at a microwave (not in the bag) so note it if eating inside the restaurant. The best part aside from the taste was the price! Half a rack of ribs and four pieces of chicken with two sides for $25. Don't tell management it's a terrific bargain... the price will double?!

One of if not the best quick service meals on Disney property. Great ribs, great smokehouse pizza, & get sweet tea!

Very tasty food and price was good for resort dining. Had the ribs and fried chicken. Mac & cheese was very good. Coleslaw was a little stale but still edible. Overall great experience and caught fireworks show just outside.

This is a must do at Fort Wilderness! It's a shame it's closing. I understand breakfast buffets are expensive to produce but not everyone is in a mad dash to rope drop. This is truly one of the best buffets I've had. They are only missing the old school thermos of coffee and an enamel-line tin cup!

Loved our dinner here!
They were very accommodating to my vegetarian friend and the food was delicious.
We ate family style instead of the normal buffet and it was actually great! Every time we needed more food our waitress was more than friendly and ready with refills.
Great place for the family.

This restaurant is a must every time we visit Disney. They no longer have the buffet style, the food is brought to you. It is still all you an eat. Delicious and reasonably priced for a Disney restaurant.

The food was a lot for the price. Bread basket was fresh, warm, and tasty.
The yogurt dish was fruity, but not a fan of yogurt.
The skillet was a lot of choices...
Overall good, felt like you were at a wild west establishment.

Trail's End has become a tradition for us. We go there every couple of months with friends visiting from out of town. Getting there by car and then by bus is fun. The happy country style atmosphere inside Disney is an added flavor. The food is great, there is always great salad choices, with other veggies, briskett meat, fried chicken, salmon fish with corn meal on top of it, pizza, and more. I had the salmon, and it was super. My wife did not like the briskett as much, but she enjoyed the chicken and the salmon. Everyone in our party raved about something.
But the biggest part is the desserts part. Bread pudding, apple cobbler, Rocky road, banana pudding, strawberry shortcake cake, and much more. it is heavenly. I told our waiter that the Rocky road should be banned as illegal. They we're just absolutely fantastic.
This is a really good place to have dinner buffet, with sweets and pizza and salads and veggies plus the meat. The ambiance is pretty nice, with good service. Then after all is done, we walked outside to the park area next door with children's playground. Really nice time to spend a few hours, at a reasonable price.

Yipppey! so much excitement landing feet in here once again.Trail End’s Restaurant offers “ Frontier Fixin’s and Friendly Folks” that features American and Southern cuisines at unexpectedly moderate price, is located at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Haha! The much awaited return for the buffet after a decade or more🤭...Yeah right, childishness never been outgrown . The blissful bucolic style ambiance is very reminiscent of a summer sylvan countryside atmosphere I used to enjoy. I love that rustic touches, it’s very homey.

Primo and I had this “head/ tail” coin fun game and I won so we did miles🤫🤫🤫 of a leisurely stroll to breakfast(which he never stopped complaining along the way, that we shouldn’t making our legs suffer... of course, loop bus is available) but gotta burn off those cupcakes from sprinkles cupcakes& ice cream and the almost non stop sundaes and ice creams from Ample hills creamery to Hollywood scoops plus Mickey waffle calories yesterday.

Once seated and we got our drinks, the chef took us around the buffet area. Brekky are all enticingly good(especially for me)- a great fresh fruit choices, vegetable frittata, variety of egg dishes (omelette, shirred eggs, etc.) breakfast biscuits, different waffles& cornflakes. I asked the chef for devilled eggs for me. It’s really really a good place to have brekky buffet in a pretty nice ambiance with outstanding service.

I highly recommend Trail's End! I write more about it on my blog post here https://tangertalks.wordpress.com/2016/01/17/my-favourite-things-to-do-in-walt-disney-world/
But basically it consists of top knotch guest service (catering for those with allergies), hearty food and a good variety of it too.

Delicious Buffet!!. When we went to Disney World back in January, my husband, our best friend, and I all decided to have a "splurge night" and check out this buffet. It did not disappoint!! We were able to get right in, no wait, since it was later in the evening and during an off season week. Even though it was getting close to closing time, they continued to bring fresh food out and kept it coming! The food was amazing. I had some salmon, a baked potato, some country homestyle sides, all kinds of good, delicious food. We were very satisfied. Our server alright, she didn't come check on us and refill our drinks too much. She was a bit distant. But it wasn't enough to ruin our experience! We called it a splurge night, not only for the hearty food, but because of the hearty price! I paid close to $100 for the three of us, and that was with the 10% annual passholder discount. But hey, it was totally worth it. We will be going here again.

Great Buffet. This restaurant is homey, people are friendly and the food is absolutely fantastic.

Hands down the best bang for the buck at Disney. Very good home style food and a buffet to boot!

Nice hidden gem in Fort Wilderness. Great food and service. I will go back.

We had a large group of family eat here. Mostly, there were burgers all around which were satisfying and large enough to make you leave some.

The two items that caught my attention were the Chicken & Waffles and the Fried Green Tomato plate.

The Chicken & Waffles were well prepared on their own. They were served with whipped butter and a Maple syrup that was infused with Rosemary. It sounds unusual but it was quite good.

My Fried Green Tomatoes were served atop Portobello mushrooms with Fried Green Beans and crispy, salty Sweet Potato fries. A very good meal and a nice change from usual fare.

I understand this place serves a buffet in the evenings and it might be worth a try.

Wilderness S’mores, a combination of dark chocolate mousse layered with graham crackers, topped with toasted marshmallows, and drizzled with chocolate sauce...
