Tapped Out Travel Food, Travel, and Fun!

Are people really crying over the internals of the restaurant and the way the food is served? But then saying the food is great and AFFORDABLE? People need to get their priorities straight as well as their expectations. This is a restaurant to get quick eats not a 2 hour sit down. The prices are extremely affordable seeing as you’re literally in the tourist district. We aren’t in Japan, we are in Orlando. As this is situated in the strip mall by Publix and in a tourist area 90% of the traffic is going in and getting out quick. Myself included and I live here. Most of the time I go there I am in and out. As far as people crying about compliments and the staff not responding. It’s either they didn’t hear you or they are busy preparing take out orders which is majority of the business. The family and staff there are the most friendly and gracious! For those of you saying portions are small? Have you been to Japan? You said you want authentic… prices reflect the portions especially when you get to the seafood. All fresh, and very good! Another thing to consider is that the gentleman in the back is the only chef. He keeps the food consistent by being the only one doing it. This can extend wait times sometimes but still fast. As far as not having full out plates and place settings, this keeps costs down and if you want to take it with you, simple to put a lid on and go. I do this often as I’ll get two things and try a little of each. To be honest, I don’t want plates etc.. again, keeps costs down and things simple. Guy crying about curry not having carrots. Not all Japanese curry has carrots. That’s like saying all Indian curry has the same spices and curry. Each area is different. Bottom line, food is great and authentic. The staff are amazing and always friendly. Expectations should be adjusted as needed. I get what I pay for and more w the friendly staff. If you want expensive and non authentic go to Kobe that’s Vietnamese owned. You want authentic and great food go to Sushi Kitchi.

Well… I wanted to show everyone what the food looked like after I got home. However, it didn’t last. I would have preferred to eat in restaurant but had to bring food back to family. The food here is AUTHENTIC and amazing. The flavors, are amazing. (Nothing extra needed at all)! Tonight I had the Gyu Don, Yamitsuki Don, and the Curry rice! All were great, if I had to rank them it would be hard to be honest. The Gyu Don and Curry Rice slightly edge out the third. All three were mouthwatering good! I highly suggest you give Sushi Kichi a try! ————— Also, the family that own and run this establishment are the nicest people you will come across. Smiling, happy, and gracious. Although the chef just came out of surgery he is still at work making sure we get a great meal! I can’t say enough amazing things! Thank you!

Was in town for the IT Nation conference and tried this little spot. When you walk in don't let the simplicity of the place fool you, this food is amazing! Probably the best fried pork dumpling I have ever had. The ramen was great as well. Friendly staff and super clean. Highly recommend!

Tried for first time today and customer service was more than I expected. Ordered online for pick up at 2:15 not knowing they closed from 2:30-4. Got a personal phone call from owner around 2:30 that my food was being kept warm and he was still on site for me to come by and pick up still. Wonderful perfect touch on top of a delicious meal. Will visit again 100%.

They have a good selection of donburis. Their portion is very small, although the price point is also low. Usually I get double fish and one appetizer but it’s not enough. I often see people getting two of three bowls just for one person. I understand the price is cheaper, but the sashimi is very very thin, it also doesn’t have that rich fatty fish taste. The kaarage I ordered is not really deep fried. It’s probably oven baked or pan fried.

Food is great. I'd avoid getting the sushi, and instead opt for one of the bowls. Their curry pork bowls are really good, even though I'm not a fan of the sweeter Japanese curry style. I haven't had their ramen yet, that'll be my next try. It's a nice spot to just chill at, too. Not a ton of waiters walking around, self serve water.

This is like a take out restaurant with seats. I enjoyed food here, and the front staff/server is nice. The menu is pretty straightforward, and keep it traditional "Don" style. Simple clear style decoration and is very clean. Macha soft serve was okay. If you look for full service dine-in, this is not a place for you. If you want to enjoy Japanese Don then you might have found the place 😄

They consistently have delicious food here!! I love the Kaisen Don and their dishes come out fresh with a nice presentation as well. Recently, I have been ordering in advance and they always have my order ready on time whenever I come for pickup!

This is hands down one of Orlando's best gems. The food is always super fresh and the price for quality is unmatched. The only thing I could possibly say needs improvement is the atmosphere, but it's a casual dining spot and the restaurant always looks spotless. Simply stated, this is a must try restaurant if you love poke, sushi, or Japanese food.
