The Cowfish Sushi Burger Bar

We went here on Friday for my birthday and absolutely loved the theme and atmosphere! We had a couple of appetizers, Edamame and the Tuna Avocado Tini. We also ordered the Salmon roll that is flash fried and a few cocktails. Overall experience was great, and we will be back on our next visit to Universal!

We went here on a Saturday evening, so it was busy. Friendly waitress and attentive. We were looking for meatless options for fasting (shrimp OK) and were able to find some options. Noodles were OK but needed more flavor. Cocktails were not strong. Would likely return to give another try when we can eat meat and dairy to try the rest of the menu.

What a delicious way to start our trip to Universal. We were able to sidle up to the bar (as we didn't have a reservation) but Angie was a fantastic server and the Crab Rangoon dip was delicious. I chickened out at the Hunka Hunka burger, but the Bourgin burger was a fantastic choice. My daughter enjoyed her little bento with the rice crispy nagiri. We will be back!

Our server was really good (Linda?) But the food was just ok. I didn’t eat anything else the day we ate here and I got a really bad stomach ache after. We didn’t get any sushi but I saw it coming out and all of the rolls looked great. My wife and I got burgers and for the price they were not great. I think a lot of the restaurants in the City Walk area are “Cisco” type restaurants so I guess you can’t expect too much.

We visited while on a trip to Universal for dinner. We made a reservation via the Universal app that morning and I'm so glad we did! It was by far some of the best sushi we've had. Demit was our server and she was excellent. She gave us some delicious recommendations on sushi rolls. I ordered the firecracker roll, my husband had the tropical storm and my daughter had the spicy crunchy roll. My daughter dropped a piece of hers on the floor and Demit was so sweet to bring her a little dessert roll (rice crispy treat shaped like sushi with a Swedish fish and fruit roll up) to cheer her up. I will definitely go back there on our next trip to Universal!

Not only is the atmosphere funky and fun but the food is delicious. I got the blackened tuna nachos and the What's Shakin Tuna Bacon Sandwich with a side of seaweed salad. It was incredible. The sandwich was absolutely massive and just so good. I sat at the bar, which was quite busy, but the bartender still made time to chat when she had the capacity to do so. I would definitely recommend this spot. 👌
