Good food but the food could be hotter. Atmosphere is ok but not a Hawaiian atmosphere and service has a couple people with attitudes like they don’t appreciate their jobs etc

Mo' Bettahs took a snapshot of what food was like about 50 years ago in Honolulu. This is the kind of real comfort food they served back in the day. With the local style decor, and local music it feels like you are back in the islands. The food is priced right, and the quality is good. You will be full if you order the "Ekolu" three choices.

I love Mo' Bettahs and consider it overall as the best hawaiian chains in the area. I've been to this location several times over the last few years and was surprised to find that I'd never reviewed it!
One of the things I like most about this location is their drive through. It's the perfect location to slip off and on State street and they've always had pretty quick service, so I've never had to wait more than a few minutes to get through the line.
The food here obviously won't be any different from the other locations, but if you've never been then I recommend their "mini" option, which will still be plenty of food for one person. My favorite meat is their steak, but I've tried their other options and it just depends on your preference. Overall, you'll hear that their teriyaki sauce is stellar, so I recommend grabbing one or two extras to really drench your meat and rice. I'm not a huge fan of mac salad either, so I swap that for double rice instead and always need that extra sauce to cover all the rice.

I must say that I’ve been to Mo’ Bettahs a lot over the last few years. I love the mini plate with Teri chicken, brown rice and Mac salad. Service was good and attentive. Thanks for killing it with the consistency of your meal. Great every time.

Mo Bettahs is definitely a must try. I grew up with a ton on polys and islanders and I love this type of food. Great potion sizes. I always either get the Ekolu Plate which consist 3 protein options. I pretty much get the teriyaki, katsu and the shrimp tempura. I really love the taste of the food. My only thing is I don’t super love the taste on their katsu sauce. So, I just double up on Teri sauce. It sucks that proces went up because inflation use to be bang for your buck now you’ll spend $20 on a plate which is still great.

The food is a little ugly but it does taste good besides some chicken breast were served burned. The size is huge, I could have lunch and dinner. The price is affordable. I took it out.

Quick service, and the meat is flavorful and tender! Always have to get the POG juice as well. They did get my order slightly wrong, but were kind about the mixup.

My favorite restaurant for Hawaiian food. I personally love the teriyaki best - great flavor, cooked perfectly every time - but the katsu chicken is also excellent. Their mac salad doesn’t taste like straight mayonnaise, it is the only Mac salad that I like. I’ve tried a few different Hawaiian restaurants - Mo Bettahs just can’t be beat.

Great food! Their staff is Friendly and service is quick. Drive through is nice and quick service. I love their POG, delicious meats, and Mac salad. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Portions are very generous. It’s nice to have a little taste of Hawaii here in Utah. My favorite meats are the kalua pork and peluhu chicken.

I am a huge fan of Mo' Bettahs. They're pork is so delicious and they have a bunch of really good sauces that you can try. Plus, no one makes their macaroni salad as good as they do.
