Shoga Japanese Restaurant

My husband and I love coming here! It’s been our fav sushi spot for years now. They always have high quality fish, the sushi fillings have a perfect ration to rice and fish, and the fish literally melts in your mouth. If you’re not a big sushi fan, they also have an entree menu. The katsu curry is my fav on this. A huge portion of the crispiest pork and tastiest curry. It even tastes amazing reheated at home. The waitstaff are also super polite! I love that they aren’t bugging you constantly during the meal, but are on top of getting refills and extra orders. The perfect balance.

We ordered two drinks, two sushi, two salads and two soups. Water, coke along with the Salmon Crunch, and Vegas roll with two squid salads, and two miso soups. It was amazing, each sushi was beautiful and delicious. Service was fast and friendly but I wasn’t too sure on how to spell her name. Although the restaurant is slightly hidden the inside is very beautiful I noticed it decorates for certain holidays. Great find, would eat here again.

We were looking for a new sushi place to try for my birthday and this place did not disappoint! I was happy to hear they had vegetarian sushi options, and both of the veggie rolls I got were delicious. I tried the "Veggie Freestyle" (I hope I'm remembering that name right) which did not give me a choice of sushi roll, but was more of a "chef's pick". Even though I did not get a choice of which kind of veggie roll I got, both rolls I received were delicious and had a lot of variety of flavors that paired well together. The atmosphere with the fairy lights across the ceiling was also really fun and overall we will definitely be coming back next time we go out for sushi.

We love coming here for sushi. We reserved the seat because it was Saturday night. We got to our seat pretty quickly! Although we were tight close to the couple right next to us, and huge group right next to my husband😵‍💫 We preferred previous seat setting they had where you could be in the booth seating. The food was really good. Although they messed our sushi.. they swapped the top fish to the wrong ones. (Playboy should have the deep fried shrimp with tuna and tobiko. And citrus roll should be with California roll) it tasted really different and didn’t like it. But we didn’t bother to tell the waiter since she was sweet girl & it was busy night. But definitely disappointed.. Katsu curry was HUGE & we love croquettes! Not fan of squid salad & karaage though.

This place tastes amazing. If you love sushi and don't mine paying a higher price for higher quality sushi this is the place to go. This is a perfect date night with the wife. If you Vegan or allergic to shell fish don't worry cause this place has amazing veggie roll options. My wife is allergic to shell fish and she is able to enjoy her sushi here because of the great sushi Chefs and food they make. Thanks guys keep up the great work!
