Always a crowd pleaser!. Kids love it, we love it. Hot dogs, curly fries, shakes. Love it. Cash only, dont forget...
one question: what happened to the 50's doo-wop and Elvis music? now they keep playing 70's music instead...o_O
Very good hot dogs! Milkshakes are AWESOME! :) a large variety of food! Love it!
Seasonal place but is so good....tons of milk shakes they even have a peanut butter and jelly milk shake which is good if your looking for something sweet
Love the hot dogs but my favorite meal is a plain turkey burger with peppers.
A Classic. I go to Taffy's a lot. It's essentially a much better, non-"commercialized" version of Ted's Hot Dogs. Not only have I never been disappointed with anything I have ordered, but everything is exceptional. Exceptional as in - this is not gourmet food, but for the niche it services, it stands alone. Hots dogs, burgers, fires, rings, all the standard fare hot dog stand food, but with their own flare. Go there and you will see what I mean.
And then the milkshakes. One word. Epic.
And there are always a lot of veedubs. Especially tuesday nights. T-up.
Best people and great food! The women and the hotdogs are always Hot!
Taffy’s has been around for almost 60 years (est 1949). Located at the busy “5 corners” intersection (more specifically, the corner of Southwestern Blvd and Orchard Park Rd), it’s an odd place for a little hot dog restaurant. However, Taffy’s, which start
Cute spot for lunch and ice cream that has been in business since the 50s. Stopped by around 1pm on a Friday afternoon and there were plenty of people lounging on their cool swinging tables enjoying traditional American fare such as fries, hamburgers, and milkshakes. I couldn't get over the swinging tables, such a unique way to enjoy food with the family. I had the buffalo chicken sandwich, fried cauliflower, and a root beer float. This is a cash only restaurant, so make sure to plan for that. Everything was nicely prepared and service was courteous and quick. I would definitely stop by again to try some of the other treats on the menu.
We come here for the milkshakes. They have about 100 flavors, so it's fun to try something new each time. We see people order food all the time, but we've only ordered Turkey burgers and curly fries. It was just okay, more of a throw back to how burger stands used to serve food and more authentic. The shakes are a good size so we order 2 with extra cups and split it between the 4 of us. The shakes are always good, sometimes great.
They have rocking chairs with tables, the kids really like sitting and rocking back and forth. Some times they don't work, but we just find a clean table and enjoy our shakes outside.
This place has the most AWESOME shakes and the best selection of shake flavors! I had chocolate marshmallow....it was so good! I totally recommend it if you are looking for some delicious shakes.
Classic WNY dog stand. Fries were a tad greasy, but, hey, isn't that what you're paying for? Location on the Five Corners isn't the best--lots of noise from traffic along with the occasional beep from a passerby. Kudos, Mr. Taffy!
Food is still pretty good but they still don't have their entire menu back.
Legendary hot dogs and shakes.
Great food! Have loved this place since the 70s but its really time to upgrade and accept credit cards or debit cards. I do not carry much cash and have to make it a point to go to bank before l go. Really inconvenient
