Review Citrus City Grille - Orange

John Vasquez
Just stopped for dessert and was not disappointed. Service was good, desserts were well prepared and the Irish coffee (while not the best I've had, did cap the night.) The only less the 10 start from our samples would be the creme brulee. A little eggy for my taste, and the raspberry sorbet. Little too tart though problem refreshing during a summer month stop. Souffle were good but I would suggest doing your own pour for the sauce. The raspberry overwhelmed the Gran Marnier sauce and the dark chocolate would have been better spread out for the whole dessert. Bread pudding was excellent, and the bake less chocolate cake rich. This could have used some of that raspberry sauce left over from the Souffle. Overall a very enjoyable time.

I hadn’t been to Citrus City Grille in over a decade and I couldn’t be any happier with our decision to revisit them last week. Whether you have a business meeting or luncheon planned, a romantic date, or a birthday, Citrus City Grille is the perfect spot for ANY special occasion, or just a casual patio lunch in the Orange Circle. The chefs here have cooking AND plating skills! They have a fantastic Summer Lunch Menu - If you enjoy sushi, the Seared Ahi Tuna is absolutely fantastic and melts in your mouth. But consider kicking off your meal with the Blue Cheese Stuffed Dates which taste like a pre-lunch dessert, and the Saganaki (Google it!) is a table-side experience! For dessert we had the Grand Marnier Souffle and the Sticky Toffee Pudding Cake were Phe-NOM-NOM-NOM-enal! And if you’re feeling parched, you can’t beat their Happy Hours - Now through August 30th, you can get 50% off all cocktails after 12 Noon - I had the Penicillin and my wife had the Watermelon Pineapple Martini. You’ll love the atmosphere just as much as the service with multiple servers and the General Manager checking in with your party. Thanks for the amazing luncheon experience, Citrus City Grille! We look forward to visiting you again soon!

When I entered, I found a large restaurant that went all the way to the back. The bread and balsamic vinegar tasted good. The Calamari Fritti was delicious, and the vegetables on the side of the Gyro Pita were very nice and still crunchy.

We went out for thanksgiving...just my husband and myself...we had never been here before so didn't know what to expect..the hostess was so nice and was able to seat us a little early. The atmosphere was very friendly and even with a full house the people eating there were having a food time and were being served well. We has the preset Thanksgiving dinner which was very good and included soup, salad, entree and dessert...All of the meal was very good...veggies could have been a bit more tender..but the rest of the food was good and there was more than enough of it....we took our dessert to go...our waiter Garrett was quick and kind and a sweetheart as well...We will definitely go back for special meals or events...thank you for a very nice evening Citrus City Grill.

Food was great! Liked the flourless chocolate cake and recommended. and tried dark chocolate soufflé, but not that impressed- but it served hot. Margarita pizza was great as well. Complimentary bread was okay also the complimentary sauce was okay. Ambience is fine as well.

First time dining here. Came here after a short hike at Santiago Regional. It was crowded for the there brunch special, but we ordered from the lunch menu. Nothing really stood out, but everything tasted good. The ravioli was a bit on the salty side. Overall, I would come back if I’m in the area.

My family has eaten here a few times. Since the recent change in ownership, is it very apparent that things have been upgrading every time we go. We’ve been in Orange County for most of my life, and until recently never really knew about this restaurant’s successes. We frequent the circle quite a bit, and finally got a chance to branch out beyond our normal spots. Most recently we came to Citrus City Grille for their Sunday brunch, a huge array of food with a meat carving station and dessert table. You can order quite a few egg dishes with your brunch too! Coffee, mimosas and bloody Mary’s are all bottomless with brunch as well, so brunch just keeps getting better and better as time goes on. The brunch offerings are really quite delicious, and there are so many things to choose from. You’ve got omelettes, eggs Benedict, chilaquiles, a breakfast burrito and more on the regular menu, and French toast, pancakes, crepes, waffles, bacon/sausage, prime rib and ham carving station, a cold bar with ahi poke and shrimp (among other things), pasta, stuffed chicken, fresh veggies, bbq ribs, baked fish, rice pilaf, roasted potatoes, and a charcuterie and dessert table! Absolutely well worth every penny. Our server Chris was incredibly attentive. My mimosa was never less than 1/2 full, our waters were filled many times, and he brought all the condiments/accompaniments I’d want with my meal without having to ask for anything. He also told us a bit about his story coming from Greece, and how food and family were always a big part of his life. He made us laugh on multiple occasions and kept things light and friendly the entire meal. If you’re not looking for a big brunch, you can order a la carte breakfast items or order from their regular lunch menu too. They have a private parking lot in the back which is a huge plus on busy days in the Orange Circle. We will definitely be back and ready to eat all the delicious food! I should have taken better photos so you all could see what the offerings look like, but luckily I got a few that have half-decent lighting for you.

I went to citrus city grille with a friend and we ate on the front patio for dinner. I had ahi poke salad that was on special and it was very good and filling. My friend had the grilled octopus. The focaccia and dipping sauce is also delicious. You can enjoy a full bar menu and special desserts.

They have Happy Hour every day from 3-6 PM at the bar or on the patio. It's a pretty extensive Happy Hour menu but it was cold on the patio so we ended up sitting in the dining room and ordering off the regular menu. The Flambe Shrimp Scampi were five large shrimp that they light on fire at the table! They were very good with the bread they give you. We enjoyed our pasta dishes and the excellent service also. Take a stroll around the Orange circle after dinner!

Friendly staff, amazing and delicious food. Highly recommend the restaurant. If you enjoy seafood, you have to order the Flambé Shrimp Scampi, you won’t be disappointed.

Great experience everytime! Fully stocked bar, best martinis in Orange county, try the Mango, my favorite! Sitting inside, on the patio or outside under the stars. Recommend, the stuffed chicken, or any of the pasta dishes...delish!

Friendly atmosphere and the service was very attentive. Thank you Allyson. We had the Italian Pizza and it was absolutely delicious. The only improvement suggestion is that it was a bit noisy. We will return when we go to an Angel game.

The food is delicious, just went there for Sunday brunch. Large variety, made to order omelets, eggs and eggs benidict along with BBQ ribs, fish, chicken, rice, roasted potatoes, waffles, french toast, pancakes, fruit, and it goes on. Service excellent! The only thing was the noise level. A bit loud inside and out.

Saturday evening, April 29th, was our first time dining there and it was amazing. Good food, great service from our waiter, John. Will definitely be coming back for more. Can't believe I didn't notice this gem. Meatloaf is moist and tasty The Calamari is a perfect combination of sweet and spicy And the creme brûlée is on point!

Came down to citrus city grille this past weekend for Saturday Brunch. They receive a 3 star because the fresh made omelets are very good and the only item worth eating. The entire brunch otherwise blew balls. The potatoes were hard and dry, the ribs tasted like microwave ribs, their French toast would help them out but it too wasn't fresh and they were in no hurry to swap out the old food. The desert selection was lacking, with your choice of mini cheesecake or mini brownie and two types of sugar cookies...lol school cafeteria all over again. I guess for the $29.99 you pay for what you get, a early slosh fest of all you can drink bloody Mary's and a forever pouring of mirmosa. I suppose the staff here bank off you getting too turnt to overlook their sorry brunch.

Great restaurant in Downtown Orange. Good food and attentive staff. The patio area is nice but I prefer the inside, good artwork on the walls and the atmosphere is relaxed.

We always have an amazing meal here! For our EASTER dinner we had the lamb over risotto and it was SPECTACULAR!! Daryl, the bartender, makes the best drinks in town and is efficient in taking care of the crowd! Enjoy!

Enjoyed dinner here tonight because Gabby's had an hour wait. My husband had the pot roast and said it was very delicious. Of course I had no doubt since he ate it up so fast. I had the scallops with the risotto, it too was pretty good, had good flavors and I ate it all. The bread and red wine vinegarette was also enjoyed but I've had better tiramisu. The service was excellent, we will return again.

Lemon drop martini was THE best, not to mention the sliders with guacamole!! Best ever

Great atmosphere and great food! The sea bass was AMAZING! Perfectly cooked and plated with the risotto and asparagus! They also had a great bar with a great selection of craft beer!

Server went out of his way to change an order for us & was very attentive. Even though the silverware is in a roll up, it still needs to have the water spots buffed. This is white table cloth with matching price tag. Martinis were good but a bit light on the booze. Scallop dish said feta cheese on menu but it arrived with goat cheese which I hate & was not told they were out of feta & may we please substitute!

The best brunch in Orange! Large selection of items, from seafood to desserts. Wonderful champagne, too. We'll be returning here.
