This Hidden Gem is possibly the very best food in Orange Beach. All dishes made fresh to order and amazing. The owners were exceptionally nice. Absolutely the best shrimp and grits I've ever had, with an amazing twist to the dish. Go there, try, it will be your favorite.
A pretty good little out of the way place in OB. The pork skins appetizer is a huge plate full, and is so much better than store bought. Good mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables, which are bathed in some sort of creamy, buttery sauce.
The only thing I didn't really like was the country fried steak. It was pretty tender but the meat tasted like it had no seasoning whatsoever. The breading and gravy helped but the steak was super bland.
Although the menu is a little on the small side, it's worth driving down Canal Road to try.
Great food, good portions. I highly recommend. great service. We celebrated a wedding reception here in the back room. They were highly attentive.
Reviews said this was the hidden gem of OB and they weren’t lying !! The burger and pork chop were AMAZING !! The waitress was the sweetest ever and always there to fill our drinks at just the right time . Super clean and prices were so reasonable . Best meal we had our entire stay !! Seriously people do check it out !!
WOW! Best food I've had in Orange Beach. Great atmosphere, food tasted just as great as it looks. Drinks were made perfect!! We will be back!!
WOW! Excellent food! Best fried shrimp in this area! Grits and shrimp was phenomenal!
Took a while for someone to wait on us (about 10 minutes), but other than that the service was great. Doesn't have a hip type atmosphere to it, but it is clean and welcoming. The food was good. Overall I'd say a 7.5/10 for it. They have the best steak I've ever had. Amazing. Tender and juicy and amazing flavor. The fried pickles and fried okra didn't have enough batter on them - very light. The fried okra is also not in balls, it's whole pieces. Great place!
Solid food! Solid service! After reading the other reviews we decided to pop in for a late lunch. We had skipped breakfast and was starting to cross over in to "hangry". I wanted everything on the menu ,but decided to order the fried banana peppers, shrimp platter, fish tacos and the shrimp and grits. Everything we had was delicious and fresh. The shrimp and grits were the star of the show and definitely a winner with a different take on a classic. We met the owner and had a long conversation about all the fresh ingredients and flavor profiles. She was super nice and engaging. Can't say enough. If you're tired of all the usual over fried, tourist traps down here I suggest kicking off your shoes and heading to the Barefoot Grill for some great food at very reasonable prices. We will definitely be back!!
