Review Durango Mexican Grill - Opelika

Very much enjoyed eating dinner at Durango Mexican Grill. The food is fresh, tasty and portions are more than what one would get at other Mexican restaurants at next exits north and south. Durango has been in the restaurant business over 20yrs in this area. Friendly staff and clean environment. Plenty of parking and just around the corner from Tiger Town and Lowes.

My wife and I went to Durango last night to enjoy dinner. The staff was excellent, but the food not so great. I ordered the enchilada dinner and not only did the sauce taste weird, but after eating half of my enchiladas I noticed a huge chunk of plastic on top of the enchilada. It was like melted in with the cheese on top. Luckily the waitress didn't include my plate on the bill which I was thankful for, because I was still willing to pay for my food. But even worse issues came up after I got home. All I'm going to say it's, it was an unpleasant night. Update: My wife took her burrito to go and found plastic in it after reheating it for lunch today. Attached both pictures. Be careful if you eat here and check your food thoroughly

Was too hungry to take pictures😩. Customer Service was Excellent. Enjoyed Lily as a waitress, she was very pleasant. First time visiting, we'll definitely go back again. We ate regular Hard shell tacos, Pollo Loco, and Fajitas.

I've dined at this restaurant many times in the past with some old associates. I recently visited here again with my husband and I won't deny it was terrible. I could go on with all that went wrong with my dish, but I will simply say I took a whole box home and threw it right in the trash. I felt for our server, he seemed so unhappy but did all he could for us. All around our visit failed completely because of the food. It was a HUGE let down for me.

Wasn't super happy with the meal overall. The chips and salsa served when you sit down had the most flavor of the entire meal. Taco bowl had no flavor and cold. Chicken quesadilla was hot but the chicken was bland. Doubtful I ever go back.

Food quality is good. It seems that it is popular Mexican restaurant because we went there on Wednesday but it was full around 7. It is good for small group, we were a group of 6 but they needed to add some chairs for us which was not convenient. The entrance is a little bit dark.
