Tried the Upland location, it was my first experience with Beola’s. I was not pleased at all. I ordered Red Snapper, Fried Shrimp, chicken and waffles, French fries, greens and Mac and cheese. It was all very poorly done. It didn’t smell or taste fresh. My fish and shrimp were not edible, very rubbery and lackluster. The chicken was over cooked, the waffle was soft. The Mac and cheese just blah. The greens were ok, but nothing to write home about. I was looking for a local soul food joint I could enjoy. This is not it, they needed better quality ingredients freshly cooked not zapped. Especially this type of food.

This is for the new location in Upland!
Had the catfish, tilapia, sautéed chicken strips with brown gravy, collards, mac and cheese, red beans and rice, peach cobbler and that sweet tea. ALL of it was flavorful and cooked very well! Prices were a bit high and the fish portions were a bit small, BUT otherwise and overall, we left satisfied with the quality and quantity.
The menu has a good variety of stuff and I will DEFINITELY be back to try everything on it.
We need more family owned places like this where you can taste the difference!
I’ve seen some criticism and I get it. But they’re new and they’re clearly getting things together.
In a time when it’s easy to walk into a food place and get subpar food, disinterested staff, and just a poor experience, I’m thankful places like this have to guts to still put themselves out there.
This is a restaurant to support!

The oxtails, butter beans, and rice were flavorful. The portion was very small. I was served 1 medium size oxtail and 2 very small oxtail with 4 butter beans. When I mentioned it to the server, he said the butter beans were a garnish not a serving. The red beans and rice were also good but a very small serving. I spent $82 dinner for 2 and we left hungry. I wont be eating there again. I do not reccommend Beolas. ☹

Be prepared to pay for over priced lunch food and an overly apologetic server who be Littles their customers.
I took my husband here for Father's day after the raving review from a group.
When we came the place is very neat and tiddy you can tell they are short staffed so we were prepared to wait a while for a table and food no biggie.
When we went to order since my daughter has a beef allergy she asked if the brisket was beef or pork.
The server not only answered condensendingly saying it of course it is beef, then proceeds by saying all brisket is beef.
In my head I know this is a loe because we had pork brisket my grandfather and father were butchers working for BAR -S Meats and Farmer John but you know what the say, pick your battles.
My daughter then ordered the chicken sandwich, my husband the link and I got the friend shrimp and fries.
We also got 3 drinks I knew the food was going to be awhile but it took awhile for the drinks. He said I have other drink orders to get to ect. No biggie so while we waiting a family got up and we decided to get to a different table.
My daughter saw it was dirty and offered to clean it he said no and proceeds to clean it.
Another family comes in and I guess they were impatient about him not getting there idk because they then just left.
You heard there server say I am sorry folks I was going to get right to you I had to clean the tables and then looks at us.
So once the table get clean we get or food and drink.
My husband's link was $5 and it was so small and wad the size of a hot dog.
My daughter's chicken sandwich was like school lunch. And mt shrimp was ok but the friend were freezer burned.
Overall I more than likely will not be back I don't feel you get though food for the money.
I should have taken picks but we just wanted to leave.
I know the guys was short staffed and things but to take frustration out on your customers is not the way to go because regardless if you have a 100 staff members or not restaurants are a fast pace job and tou can't micromanage everything.

Food was ridiculous! Wife had hammocks, ten. Son had the fried pork chops, ten again. I had smothered chicken breast over rice, yup: TEN AGAIN! Service was on point, they have Kool-Aid y'all! This is a real southern eats type of place. Recommend it if you're home sick for Mom's cooking, but a it aint cheap that's for sure $$$

Beola must have been a very special person. The Legendary taste and spark she left behind just flows thru this place. Every piece of food seems heaven sent. I am lost for words when I comes to describing real joy filled customer service. I am proud to have experienced this place. I will forever be back!!!

Tonight I had the pleasure of spending some time at Beola's. This was a Monday night and there was only a few tables with people eating. I was greeted by the owner and made me feel right at home. The sweet tea was not from a soda machine and it was delicious. I can't eat chicken and that is a big part of the menu here so I asked the owner which appetizer and main course I should try if this was the only chance I had to experience their food. She pointed me to the shrimp in BBQ sauce. So this was ok, I liked the flavor of the sauce but honestly it was 4 shrimp in BBQ sauce, not exactly wow factor. Nothing bad about it but also I can't say i would order it again. The main course we went with oxtail, now this was good, it was with some juices from the cooking of the oxtail and rice, over the top was butter beans. I was extremely happy with this plate. It was filling, in fact I had to pack some to take home and the flavor was good. (I packed this half away so I could have desert) i topped off the meal with peach cobbler heated and a scoop of icecream. I really felt they did a fantastic job of peach cobbler, they allowed the peaches to speak for themselves and didn't over use spices and other flavorings as do many places in my opinion. Really loved this desert. It is good that I liked the desert because as mellow, clean, friendly, and inviting as this restaurant is I am not sure it was a $50 meal. That was the price of my bill for 1 person and all dishes I described. Understanding running a restaurant is not easy especially a specialty place such as this i still would have liked the price to be a little more in line with what I thought it would be based on location and the foods served. I would go back again and i did enjoy the meal.

The service here was amazing I gotta say & omg they have kool-aid!! It was good too. We stopped by for dinner and yes it's a bit of a wait since it's looks like food is made to order which is fine. So we ordered a biscuits and gravy to try out and that was certainly different, it was sweet it was still good. My sister got the Chicken in brown gravy and peppers and rice, good portion not bad. I ordered the Tri Tip with Mac and Cheese and Onions Rings, they give you a good amount of food the rings were really good. We would definitely return to check out more items on their menu.
